(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Li Ruiling from Chaoyang District was arrested on October 3, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She was placed under criminal arrest by the Shunyi District Police Department on October 4, 2023 and under official arrest on November 10, 2023.
Ms. Li’s case was submitted to the Shunyi District Procuratorate on January 3, 2024. Her case was returned twice for lack of evidence. Her case was resubmitted to the Shunyi District on June 11, 2024. Ms. Li is held in the Shunyi District Detention Center.
Mr. Cheng Xiaobao was sentenced to 12 years in prison and was detained for more than 7 years. He is detained in the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County.
Ms. He Zeying will be tried in the Qujing City Court on July 4, 2024.
Ms. Li Hongmei and Ms. Xu Yamei were tried in court on June 14, 2024. Their lawyer defended their innocence.
Ms. Yu Luping from Gangcheng District was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested on the morning of May 15, 2024. She was sent to a detention center, but her current whereabouts are unknown.
Four practitioners from Dongguan County, Mr. Men Bingcheng, Ms. Zhang Wenping, Ms. Cheng Guijun, and Ms. Song Guifen, were arrested in a market in Ningjin County on the morning of June 19, 2024. Their homes were ransacked that afternoon and many personal belongings were confiscated.
Yu Yongli from Dongguang County and Li from Matou Town of Fucheng County were implicated by these arrests. The police ransacked their homes.
Mr. Zhang Hongbo from Daxing District was seen by a surveillance camera posting a banner. He was arrested downstairs at his home by officers from the Xingong Police Station around 9 p.m. on May 19, 2024. He was held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Beijing for over a month.
Three officers and the head of the local community office went to Ms. Jiang Xinmei’s home in Meijiuchu Residential Community of Yubei District at noon, June 21, 2024. They didn’t show their ID's or a search permit, and ransacked Ms. Jiang’s home. Her cell phone was confiscated.
Nine practitioners have been harassed at home by officers from the Jishu Police Station from March to June 2024. They are Ms. Chen Yunfang, Du Shuru, Tai Lijuan, Wang Yuhu, Zhang, Tao Yuqing, Qi Xiumei, Lu Guiping, and Gao Ying.
Gao Ying was harassed at home by Officer Li Tianqi and An Ning on June 12, 2024. The police confiscated a Falun Gong book and an MP3 player.
Three officers, including Chai Xiangwu, went to the store owned by Lu Guiping’s son-in-law on June 18, 2024. They took a photo of Lu Guiping standing next to a police officer.
Ms. Chen Yunfang and Wang Yuhu were harassed at home in May 2024. They were forced to stand next to a police officer and have their photo taken.
Mr. Geng Wenping was arrested on June 18, 2024.
Ms. Li Yulin and Ms. Fan Hailan from Dakoutun Town of Baodi District, were caught by surveillance cameras when they distributed truth clarifying materials in Haogezhuang Market and were arrested on the afternoon of April 15, 2024. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Li Yulin was detained for 15 days and Ms. Fan Hailan was detained for 10 days.
Ms. Gao Shuying from Dalijia Town of Jinpu New District was seen by surveillance cameras while she put up stickers and was arrested around June 10, 2024. She was sent to the Jinjia Street Detention Center.
Ms. Qi Ling from Wuchang District was reported to police for talking to a delivery man about Falun Gong and was arrested on June 10, 2024. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to a detention center. Her current situation is unknown.
