(Minghui.org) A Falun Gong practitioner is enduring drug administration and physical abuse while serving time in Beijing Women’s Prison. It’s reported that after only six months of detention, Ms. Bu Jinxiang, a young, good-looking woman, has aged tremendously, with dull eyes, a hunched back, and slow reactions. The guards often threaten other Falun Gong practitioners with Ms. Bu’s case in order to force them to renounce their faith.
According to an insider, the guards forced Ms. Bu to take psychiatric drugs. She struggles to keep her eyes open after each meal and has to take a short nap. Despite her condition, the guards still make her do hard labor every day without pay.
Due to the communist regime’s strict information censorship, details about Ms. Bu’s case aren’t very clear. According to information collected by Minghui.org, she is likely a native of Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia, who moved to the Daxing District in Beijing. She was arrested on May 15, 2017, by Daxing District Police Department officers for sending messages on WeChat. The police held her in the Daxing District Detention Center. She was later sentenced to ten years by a local court.
Ms. Bu is being held in the third ward in Beijing Women’s Prison, where Falun Gong practitioners are mentally and physically abused. A guard once told them, “We just want to make you suffer here. Let’s see if you dare to practice Falun Gong again after you are released.”
Another inmate described the situation in the prison like this: “There is the saying ‘a day felt like a year,’ but here in this prison, a second feels like a year.”
An insider revealed that a Falun Gong practitioner once developed extremely high blood pressure due to the abuse. The guards and inmates tried to force her to take unknown drugs and threatened to starve other inmates in her cell if she didn’t comply. She was forced to eat excessive food, stay up at night to write thought reports, and attend day-long brainwashing and criticism sessions. She often fainted.
During a meeting of the entire ward, a guard bragged how they “transformed” a certain practitioner. She said that it took five guards and 11 inmates just 12 days to “help” the practitioner, given all the tactics they used.
An inmate who was familiar with that practitioner’s case told Minghui.org that after 12 days of torture, the practitioner became emaciated and was in a daze. She staggered as she walked, reacted slowly, and had symptoms of depression. The inmates carried her someplace where she was fed toxic drugs.
Ms. Bu is being persecuted the same as that practitioner. As time passed, she began to talk to herself and do things that didn’t make sense while the inmates continued to beat and verbally abuse her. One of them admitted that they tortured Ms. Bu on orders from the director of the ward, who would monitor them through the surveillance cameras. The guards also changed and customized the torture plan regularly, based on updates reported by the inmates.
The guards also pretended to be nice to Ms. Bu and asked if they could help her with anything. But instead of truly helping her, they transferred her to the strict-management team, where she was subjected to even worse beatings and verbal abuse, which further aggravated her mental condition.
Ms. Bu later started a hunger strike to protest the persecution and was taken to the prison hospital for force feeding. The prison doctor gave her injections of unknown drugs and forced her to take unknown pills. When she tried to resist, they beat and verbally abused her. Not long after, she suffered a mental breakdown.
Torture reenactment: Injection with unknown drugs
An inmate who was involved in forcing feeding Ms. Bu and injecting her with toxic drugs was terrified. She said they kept Ms. Bu tied up and she bled a lot during the process. She regretted harming Ms. Bu and she worried that the guards would also kill her to cover up what they were doing.
Days later, the inmate who shared Ms. Bu’s cell said the guards no longer told her or the others to torture Ms. Bu. When the guards came to the cell, they forced all the other inmates out and made them stand facing the wall. Only after the guards finished the force feeding and drug injection did they allow the inmates back into the cell. “Maybe they didn’t want us to know too much about what they were doing,” the inmate said.
