(Minghui.org) From September 20 to October 4, 2025, Falun Dafa practitioners held informational events in Brașov, Târgu Mureș, and Bucharest. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) to the public and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 26-year persecution of the practice.
On September 20 and 27, practitioners set up an information booth in Brașov. On October 3, they held an information day in front of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Târgu Mureș. The university’s full name is the George Emil Palade University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science, and Technology in Târgu Mureș (UMFST), and it is one of Romania’s leading medical institutions, attended by students from around the world. Practitioners set up an information booth on October 4 at the entrance to Drumul Taberei Park in Bucharest.
They handed out informational leaflets to passersby, answered their questions, and collected signatures on a petition to the G7+7 countries to end the forced organ harvesting which targets Falun Dafa practitioners and other prisoners of conscience in China. [Note: G7 countries are the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom; +7 countries are Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan]
Many people said they were happy to see positive values like Falun Dafa’s promoted in society, and that governments should not remain silent about the atrocities taking place in China.
Dan Burlacu at Brașov on September 20, 2025
Dan Burlacu, a Romanian citizen, has lived in Toronto, Canada, since 1989, the year of the anti-communist revolution in Romania. While visiting his mother in Brașov, he stopped at the Falun Dafa booth. He said he was appalled by the persecution, especially the organ harvesting, and he praised Falun Dafa’s principles—Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance—which he said are universal moral values.
“Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the foundations of humanity. It’s in our nature. We have to take care of those around us, not hurt them. These are general moral principles—you find them in any society. If we put them into practice, we would be much better off,” he said.
Mr. Burlacu talked about the danger posed by the CCP’s infiltration into all countries to impose its ideology by any means necessary, and spelled out the need for an official response from governments to prevent this.
“I know about [Falun Dafa] because in 1999 Jiang Zemin launched a campaign to make himself look important and began slaughtering practitioners. He put them in prisons and killed them,” said Mr. Burlacu.
He recounted how a human rights court in The Hague mentioned the forced organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in China, which began with Falun Gong practitioners. “[The judge] went through all kinds of witnesses, and they came to say that at first they targeted Falun Gong, then they went to the province where the Uyghurs are and started putting them in forced labor camps, and this was only because it had become a very profitable industry for the communists—I mean the forced harvesting of organs. I saw some witnesses who appeared before the judge and showed how they cut them open and removed their organs, such as half of their liver, so that everything that could be harvested was harvested,” said Mr. Burlacu.
He also mentioned seeing Falun Gong practitioners in Canada and the CCP’s malevolent influence in that country. “At every Chinese embassy or consulate, there are a lot of violent agitators against those who support Falun Gong. Not only that, they try to influence circles in Parliament. In Ontario, our parliament is infiltrated by Chinese communists. They buy votes; there have been scandals,” he said.
Mr. Burlacu urged the Romanian government to be aware of the CCP’s transnational influence and to not indirectly participate in the persecution. “I hope that Romania’s leaders will keep their morals up and not let themselves be influenced by Chinese money, because they [agents from China] are coming and buying. Parliamentarians should keep their eyes open and their ears open. I hope your message reaches them, and that they don’t turn their faces away again when the truth is right in front of them. They should not turn a blind eye and say, ‘Let it be, it’s fine.’ It is not fine. The communists are very persistent. They do as they wish, using their methods,” he said.
Drișcu Vlad Alexandru in Brașov on September 27, 2025
Drișcu Vlad Alexandru from Iași, who worked in human resources, went to the US and then taught English in China for a year and a half in Zhengzhou, Henan Province. He shared his perspective based on his own experience in China regarding Falun Gong and the CCP’s widespread propaganda against the practice. Mr. Alexandru said he hopes more people will do their own research and not listen to the CCP’s propaganda.
“I am familiar with Falun Gong. I know what happened, and I empathize with them. I know what the CCP is doing, I know that there is an organ market there. They take organs from Falun Gong practitioners, and they take organs from ethnic minorities. I know that they are in camps, and their life is hard,” he said.
While he was still teaching in China, Mr. Alexandru once asked his students what they thought about Falun Gong. Their response was surprisingly uniform. “They told me in unison that ‘it’s a bad thing, just like the Dalai Lama.’ That’s the CCP’s propaganda. I didn’t go into detail because it’s a sensitive subject, and I was told by other teachers to avoid such topics,” he said.
He said that to his knowledge, the persecution in China against practitioners is on an “industrial” scale and that for any one who resists the CCP, the “reprisals will be harsh, immediate, and guaranteed.” Mr. Alexandru acknowledges the universal nature of Falun Dafa’s principles, values he has found in his cultural studies and which resonate with him.
“If we put aside greed, envy, and hatred, and adopt Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, the world would be a better place for everyone. I personally resonate with stoicism and Taoism, and I also resonate with these principles. I believe there is room for everyone, and we can all become a better version of ourselves,” Mr. Alexandru said.
Medical students studying in Târgu Mureș come from all over the country and Europe, as well as from many Asian, Arab, and African countries. A foreign student took a leaflet with the G7+7 petition and read it. The leaflets were available in Romanian, English, and Hungarian. She looked at the banners and the practitioner doing the Falun Dafa exercises, then told a practitioner, “Don’t worry! Everything will be OK!”

One student asked a practitioner many questions about Falun Dafa, and finally asked what it means to preserve traditional values and traditions. The practitioner shared her understanding that it means to be a person who lives by morality, to consider others in everything you do, and that it is important to keep your faith. The young woman remarked, “From what I see, everything you are telling me is for us young people to wake up.”
After she was told about the persecution, the student said, “This kind of thing shouldn’t happen. You should come [and speak] to our classes, because all the students at the university need to know about these things.”
Two medical students, Ester and Bernadett, learned about Falun Dafa for the first time and were impressed that the practice guides people according to the moral values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Ester said, “We hope that the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners in China will end as soon as possible.” They said they would sign the online petition to call for a stop to the persecution.
A woman who passed by the Falun Dafa booth at UMFST received a flyer and a small lotus flower with a bookmark printed with “Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.” She was deeply impressed by the moral principles that Falun Dafa represents, which she said people need.
“I am at a point in my life, after much suffering, and this lotus flower with these values written on it is exactly what I need right now. Thank you so much for what you are doing!”
She also said, “Falun Dafa practitioners are being killed in China for nothing.”

Clarisia and her children in Bucharest on October 4, 2025
Clarisia, 35, was taking a walk with her two children. She said we need Dafa’s principles in everything we do. “We need kindness. People today are impatient. For example, they are impatient with children.” Sofia, her little girl, was very happy to receive a lotus flower and quietly listened when a practitioner explained the principles to her.
“What you are doing here is very good. We need kindness, especially these days,” Clarisia reiterated as she signed the petition. She wished the practitioners success and said, “I urge you to continue!”
