(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Niu Guifang has been held in Shenyang City First Detention Center after she was arrested on August 27, 2025. Her family received a call from Xinchengzi Police Department on September 30 that they would seek prison sentence of her.
The family of Ms. Hao Shuping was notified by the Zunhua City Court in late September 2025 that her court hearing was scheduled for October 16, 2025.
Ms. Han Jinhua, from Huaian County, Zhangjiakou City, Hebei Province, was sentenced to three years and three months by a court in Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province, after she was reported for hanging Falun Gong information on doorknobs in a residential area in Xi’an while visiting her son there. She appealed with the Xi’an City Intermediate Court and a hearing was scheduled for October 10, 2025.
Mr. Yang Liujin, his wife Ms. Chen Shurong, and their son Mr. Yang Wenfeng were arrested at their shared home around 9 p.m. on October 1, 2025, by officers from Rong County Domestic Security Division and Changshan Town Police Station, as well as community personnel. The officers ransacked their home and confiscated computers, cash, and other items. They also ransacked the homes of Mr. Yang’s two younger sisters, none of whom practice Falun Gong.
The family of three were taken to the Rong County Police Department. While Ms. Chen and their son were released the following evening, Mr. Yang was transferred to the Songlinpo Detention Center and has been held there since.
Mr. Wang Quan was arrested and had his home searched on October 3, 2025, for removing a poster slandering Falun Gong from the community bulletin board.
The family of Ms. Shen Lidong suddenly lost contact with her on the evening of September 19, 2025. They haven’t been able to find her.
Ms. Cao Guiqing was harassed by Liu Hui and three other officers from the Dacheng Police Station on September 9, 2025, after they tricked her into opening her door with the excuse to repair some equipment. They videotaped and searched the place. Her Falun Gong book, a photo of the founder of Falun Gong, and some color pictures were confiscated.
Ms. Cao’s 87-year-old sister was visiting during the raid and was forced by Liu to reveal her name. Liu then ordered Ms. Cao to go to the police station to sign her case document. She refused to comply.
Mr. Guo Quan and his wife Ms. Deng Fengjie were reported for putting up stickers with the words “Falun Dafa is good.” The police identified their car’s license plate number through the surveillance footage, followed them home and arrested them on September 21, 2025.
After an interrogation at Horqin Left Rear Banner Police Department in Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia, Mr. Guo and his wife were each detained for 15 days and fined 1,000 yuan. They were released on October 7, 2025.
Ms. Zuo Xiuyun, in her 60s, was arrested on May 21, 2024, after being spotted dropping a letter thought to contain information about Falun Gong into a mailbox. One officer hit her hard and caused severe injuries in her. She had blood in the urine and had bruises on her abdomen after she was taken to the detention center.
Ms. Zuo appeared in the Minqing County Court on December 13, 2024. While the judge hasn’t announced any verdict yet, the police refused to release her, even when she was the sole caregiver of her legally blind brother.
Ms. Tong Xiaoyan was arrested around early October 2025.
Eleven practitioners were harassed by Lishi Economic Development Zone Police Station officers on September 11, 2025. The police suspected them of putting up Falun Gong stickers near the Ring of Life, a landmark in Fushun City.
Ms. Yang, Mr. Zhang Xiansheng and Ms. Liu Chunlan were arrested around October 1 and admitted to the Shenyang City Detention Center.
Mr. Yang Ruijie was arrested and had his home ransacked by Mayu Police Station officers at noon on September 15, 2025. He has been released.
