Nov. 15, 2025 |   By Minghui correspondent Tang Rong in Brussels

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event at Albertine Square on November 8, 2025 to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Many people accepted flyers and wished to learn Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong).

Scholar Condemns the CCP’s Forced Organ Harvesting

Manuel Valente is a scholar of philosophy in K.U. Leuven in Portugal. He signed the petition calling to stop the CCP’s forced organ harvesting and said, “I strongly condemn forced organ harvesting, especially from political prisoners. However we understand a fair society, this [forced organ harvesting] absolutely cannot be accepted.” He added, “I cannot accept the organ harvesting from specific groups. I wish Falun Dafa practitioners success in their efforts to expose such a terrible act.”

Manuel said although he hadn’t previously known about Falun Dafa, he believed the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance should be treasured by any reasonable society. He said any action to safeguard such values is important.

He pointed out that the CCP is a "terrible regime. Such persecution should never occur.”

Opposing the Forced Organ Harvesting with Action

Emilin Sabagiri, an engineer at Eurostar

Emilin Sabagiri viewed the display boards and talked with a practitioner for a long time. He said the CCP’s forced organ harvesting was crazy and horrible. He wished to learn more.

He signed the petition and said, “Although I don’t think we can solve such issues, it cannot be a reason for anyone not to oppose the forced organ harvesting.”

The Persecution Should Not Be Hidden

Mikael and Tauron are newly graduated from college. They talked with practitioners and signed the petition. They didn’t know about the persecution before, so they wished to learn about Falun Gong and the CCP’s persecution.

Mikael

Mikael said that European countries do not report the persecution because they are tied to the Chinese economy and market. “I come from France. I never heard of the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa.”

Mikael said he agreed with Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance: “Truth, an elegant way to see the world; compassion, also the best way to treat people; forbearance, accepting others. We all need to have Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, which is the foundation for us to understand others and live in this world.”

Marine

Marine works at the French Culture and International Exchange Association and talked with a practitioner for a long time. She and her friend were visiting Belgium that weekend, and this was the first time either of them had heard about the persecution. After she read the display board, Marine said she thought she should do something, like sign the petition. She said it was important to let more people know about the persecution. “I wish to learn more due to my work,” she said.

Sylvia teaches adults French. She paused when seeing the banner worded Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She talked with a practitioner and said the three words were very important. She asked about the event and wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa.

She said, “I think that it's good that practitioners organize such events—it lets people learn about Falun Dafa and the persecution.”
