(Minghui.org) My wife, my son, and I practice Falun Dafa. Over the years, we’ve welcomed many practitioners into our home, whether they needed a place to stay because they were displaced due to the persecution or needed support overcoming serious sickness karma. We’ve welcomed them with open hearts and considered them part of our family.

Because we all come from different backgrounds and have different personalities and temperaments, frictions are inevitable. But we were able to look inward, quickly rectify ourselves, and improve with the guidance of the Fa. We studied the Fa together, shared our experiences, and helped each other improve in cultivation. We steadfastly walk the divine path during this Fa-rectification period.

Greetings, venerable and compassionate Master! Greetings, fellow practitioners!

To celebrate this special occasion of the 22nd China Fa Conference on Minghui.org, I’ve written down some of my cultivation experiences to share with Master and with fellow practitioners.

Providing a Safe Environment for Practitioners in Need

All three members of my family practice Falun Dafa, and we’ve created an environment that is welcoming and safe. Many practitioners have stayed with us over the years. Whether they were displaced due to the persecution or they were going through sickness karma, we welcomed them with open arms and helped them unconditionally, even though the persecution was still rampant. We studied the Fa, discussed our experiences, and helped each other improve in cultivation. We’ve steadfastly walked the divine path during the Fa-rectification period.

When a few local practitioners were sentenced for their faith, Ang’s name was included in the verdict for some mysterious reason. To avoid being arrested, she came to us and stayed with us on and off for the next few months before she found refuge with another practitioner. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she had serious sickness karma, with a persistent cough and high fever. She turned to us again for help. We studied the Fa together, and all her symptoms disappeared.

While she was hospitalized, Di snuck out of the hospital and came knocking on our door. I had never met her before and just happened to have a relative staying with us at the time, so I didn’t let her in. When my wife got home from work, Di was slumped by our front door. She was emaciated and weak. We brought her in, gave her water and food, washed her face and feet with warm water, and made her some porridge. My wife and I took turns looking after her.

Since Di took off from the hospital without being discharged, the staff notified her family who reported her as missing. Just when everyone was looking for her, a practitioner reached out to us and asked, “Is Di staying with you? The entire town is looking for her. Even the police are involved.” My wife was not moved, “If the police come for her, we’ll deal with it.” We waited anxiously, but the police never showed up. Di’s family eventually took her home, and things went back to normal, as if nothing had happened.

My wife and I went to a remote village to visit practitioner Chen. I’d met him while we were both detained for our faith in Falun Dafa. As soon as we entered Chen’s home, we saw him sitting up in bed. He seemed confused, couldn’t move, and couldn’t speak clearly. His wife told us he’d had a stroke two years before and nearly died and he’d been like this ever since. Chen told us, “I am useless now. I can’t move my arms. My legs are shaky and I can’t do the exercises anymore.”

After we returned home, my wife and I told my son about Chen. He said, “We should bring him here.” There was a big snowstorm that day, but my son drove to the village and brought Chen back.

Chen hadn’t done the exercises for a long time because of his health. He couldn’t stand or raise his arms. He didn’t want to get up early to do the morning exercises. To help him, I stood behind him and held up his arms. I kept encouraging him, “You can do it. Keep it up.” And Chen did—he did all five exercises.

We then studied the Fa and sent righteous thoughts with him. After seven days of intense Fa study, righteous thoughts, and doing the exercises, Chen was completely back to normal. Just seven days before, my son had picked him up and brought him to our home. Seven days later, he borrowed my son’s bicycle and rode 10 miles through the mountains by himself to get home. His wife was shocked to see how good he looked and was moved to tears. She called us on the phone and thanked us, “Chen got home safely. He recovered so quickly! It is incredible to see such dramatic changes in such a short time. You know, he couldn’t even get out of bed before. I can’t believe he just rode that far by himself. It’s a miracle. Thank you all. Thank you so much!”

We consider all practitioners that stay with us part of our family. Because we all come from different backgrounds and have different personalities and temperaments, frictions are inevitable. But we are able to look inward, quickly rectify ourselves, and improve with the guidance of the Fa.

Practitioner Yee is from a different region. After her husband’s arrest, she became displaced. She came to us and stayed for more than two weeks. Yee is from the countryside and her ways of doing things were very different than ours. I didn’t like how she handled certain things and expressed my annoyance verbally. But I caught myself and looked inward immediately, “Life is already hard for a displaced practitioner like Yee. I hurt her feelings. I don’t like the way she does things, but I have to be tolerant and be patient with her.”

Gradually, I was able to understand where she was coming from and let things go. Yee felt at ease staying with us, as if it was her own home.

Getting Through Financial Difficulties

My wife and I have been sentenced for practicing Falun Dafa. We used to run a prosperous family farm that was well-known in the area, but we lost most of our wealth due to the persecution and we even accumulated some debts. We now work for a salary and put most of it toward paying off the debts. The financial strain, however, never stopped us from taking in and helping other practitioners over the years. The communist regime persecutes us for our belief, but we have to hold onto each other and help each other move forward in cultivation. Together, we work towards achieving our mission and fulfilling our vows in the Fa-rectification period.

There were times when we couldn’t even afford groceries or basic necessities, but we didn’t want the practitioners staying with us to worry. We knew they were already in a difficult situation so we kept smiling and didn’t show any distress in front of them. We didn’t want them to know about our financial hardship. We bought what we needed with credit at the store. Although we didn’t have much, we took care of the practitioners and their needs.

To save on energy bills, my wife and I don’t use hot water during the winter but we always prepare hot water for the practitioners staying with us. If they asked how we were doing financially, we told them we were doing fine so they didn’t have to worry about causing an additional burden. They just needed to focus on getting through their own ordeal.

Our financial situation has gradually improved in recent years, and our cultivation environment also became more relaxed. With more time and resources, we can focus more energy on clarifying the truth and helping Master save people.

Our Path to Helping Master Save People

We struggled financially for years but didn’t let it slow us down in our efforts to help Master save people. My wife and I regularly rode our motorcycle to the surrounding areas to distribute truth-clarifying materials and post Dafa banners. We’ve had many amazing experiences.

In the middle of a big snowstorm one year, my wife and I walked along a mountain road to a small village to distribute flyers. The village was remote, and by the time we headed home, it was already very late. The snow blanketed everything and we couldn’t find our way home. Just as we didn’t know what to do, we saw two footprints glistening in the dark night. By following the trail of footprints, we found ourselves at a familiar intersection.

One time, my wife and I distributed truth-clarification flyers in the countryside. We parked our motorcycle and walked along the main road and distributed flyers to villages scattered along the way. As the sun went down, we found ourselves far away from where we started and didn’t know where we were. We figured we’d keep going and distribute more flyers. Just as we ran out of flyers, we saw a car coming toward us with its headlights shining on a crossroad exactly where we’d parked our motorcycle. We even found a shortcut to get back home.

Once while we distributed flyers, my wife and I saw lights on the main road in the distance. We figured it must be a village but had no idea how to get there as we weren’t familiar with the area. Just then, we saw a car heading in that direction so we followed it and found the village. We were grateful and glad that we could distribute flyers in that village.

Avoiding Dangerous Situations

With Master’s protection, we were able to avoid dangerous situations while we distributed Dafa flyers.

We once traveled 50 miles to distribute Dafa flyers in a village. It was still early when we arrived and we set to work separately. Halfway through the village, my wife saw a woman sitting in front of her courtyard. She offered the woman a truth-clarification flyer and encouraged her to read it. The woman immediately started shouting, “Seize the Falun Dafa [practitioner]! Get her!”

The woman’s neighbor told my wife, “Take your flyer and get out of here.” My wife had left a copy on the seat of the man’s car because the door had been wide open, but now the car was locked. The man continued to shout at my wife to get the flyer. My wife asked him to unlock the car but he refused to, even as the woman kept shouting, “Seize the Falun Dafa practitioner!” She waved at cars passing by trying to get them to stop but no one did. Finally, a car stopped. The driver, who looked like a village official, got out. When the woman told him about the flyer and pointed at my wife, a man in the car took out his cellphone and started dialing.

At that moment, my wife shouted, “Help me, Master!” She tried the car door again, and this time it opened. She grabbed the flyer and quickly walked away. She went through a small alley, a sheep pen, and a cornfield before she found me distributing flyers on the other side of the village. We asked Master for help while we ran from the people who were chasing us, and we eventually got away. We found a good spot to hide the flyers and planned to go back the next night to fetch them.

It started raining really hard the next evening, but we rode 25 miles in the pouring rain to get the flyers we’d left behind. On our way home, we saw that a lower stretch of the road to led to our home was flooded. The water was about three feet deep and we knew our engine would die if we tried to cross it on the motorcycle. It was after midnight and dark with heavy clouds. We were still more than 20 miles away from home.

Not knowing what to do, I got off the motorcycle and walked along the edge of the pool of water. Just then, a big dump truck came up. I jumped back on the motorcycle and followed closely behind the truck, which pushed the water aside and gave us just enough room to get across. After we got to higher ground on the other side, the water filled the low place in the road again. My wife and I looked at each other and smiled. It was so dark and so late at night, where did that truck come from in this pouring rain? We knew, of course, that Master was helping us.

We’re encountered countless incidents like these over the years. With Master’s help and protection, we were able to avoid dangerous situations every time. We know Master is always by our side and is protecting us. Everything is arranged by compassionate Master.

Thank you, Master, for compassionately saving us!
