Exposing the persecution in local areas is important for several reason. First, it reminds the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) officials to think twice before committing bad deeds. Second, it results in a relatively favorable environment for us practitioners. Third, many local people will learn the facts about Falun Dafa and the persecution. When family, friends, and relatives of these officials hear about these bad deeds, they may encourage them to stop doing this and thus they position themselves as supporting Dafa. The ripple effect is huge.
After an article was published that exposed a local police officer, his father felt he lost face in the community. He went to the police department, and the higher government agency of the officer’s workplace, and complained, “My son followed your orders and now what he did is published. Can you do something?”
The official told him, “There are more articles about us. How about we each take care of our own business?”
Enraged by his answer, the father called out in the yard of the police department, “If anyone persecutes Falun Dafa again, I will call him a fool!”
Another police officer’s relative told us that she also heard what the police officer did was exposed on Minghui. From this, we know although every day people might not read Minghui, those CCP officials including the perpetrators do read Minghui closely. On the one hand, this is their job—to monitor Falun Dafa; on the other hand, they know Minghui and the multilingual sites are read widely.
So, whenever there are persecution incidents in our area, I try to obtain detailed information. After the report is submitted and published on Minghui, we prepare printed materials to distribute in our local area. Having done this for about 20 years, I would say it’s not easy. But I’m happy because I feel we’re assisting Master in Fa-rectification.
Blessings of Dafa
Master said, “Learning the Fa is itself a blessing…” (“Teachings at the First Conference in North America”) I have witnessed this.
Shortly after I began practicing Dafa, I met a couple who attended Master’s Nine-Day Lecture Series. When I said I wanted to buy a cassette player to play Master’s audio lectures, they gave two recommendations. First, always buy the best for things related to Dafa; no need to worry about money. Second, if Master has certain requirements, we must meet it. Therefore, I bought an Aiwa dual-cassette recorder from Japan, the best one on the market at the time, to copy audio cassettes for other practitioners. It cost me over 900 yuan, my salary for one month, but it was worth it. I also bought a Sony video cassette recorder/player to play Master’s video lecture.
Many years have passed and I still remember their advice. Master wrote,“…Let each and everythingbe measured against the Fa.Only then, with that,is it actual cultivation.”(“Solid Cultivation”, Hong Yin)
The first time I went to the city to purchase supplies, my wife and I set up a rule: except for the cost of the supplies we would pay the other expenses including commuting and our meals. We refused to use a penny donated by practitioners for Dafa. My family later bought a car. Although I don’t drive, my children helped whenever needed. I can say that I haven’t misused one penny because I know this is serious.
As more practitioners established material production sites and familiarized themselves with the process, I proposed in late 2017 that each material site pay for their own supplies. Someone pointed out one practitioner could not afford it due to their family situation. I said no problem, I would continue supporting them. I did that until that practitioner had stable income the following year.
Despite this announcement, many practitioners still took some time getting used to it. They still picked up the self-sealing bags, double-sided tape, and other items from a practitioner’s place as they had done in many years. I just quietly supplied them when the inventory was low. It was not until two years later someone mentioned this and every one began to buy their own.
After a high resolution version of the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Partywith graphics was available on Minghui.org (Chinese edition) in 2022, we decided to distribute more copies of this book. Each practitioner needed more than 1,000 copies. Two practitioners had financial difficulty and I provided them with paper. Another practitioner did not produce materials at home, so I provided him with the finished books.
One practitioner lives in the countryside. He previously told us the Nine Commentaries was important. He observed that almost everyone who read the book quits the CCP organizations. He supported printing the book locally, but they had difficulty printing copies.
“No problem. As long as you can find practitioners to distribute them, I will provide you with books every month,” I said. After working on it for one year, they covered the entire area. In addition, I provided hundreds of copies of the Nine Commentaries to a mountain area. Assisting Master with Fa-rectification is my mission. My abilities came from Dafa and they should be used for Dafa.
In the past 20-plus years, my home-based material production site used five computers, three Epson R1390 A3 printers, two CD/DVD burner towers, and more than 30 various kinds of other printers. I have card cutters, paper cutters, laminators, a wire binding machine, and other tools.
One year after the CCP began to suppress Falun Dafa, my workplace officials told me to stay at home and I would receive a regular pay. This gave me more flexibility to help Master save people. I am thankful to Master.
My wife, who is also a practitioner, often said I should cherish this opportunity. In the past 20-plus years when Dafa was being suppressed, I have not gone to work, but I still received pay and even bonuses. When receiving the first year-end bonus, I was moved to tears. “It’s hard to imagine a practitioner could receive all this during the persecution,” I said to my wife. “The bonus is from Master and we have to use it for helping save people.” I think this is encouragement from Master Li because I stayed on track.
The CCP has persecuted Falun Dafa for more than 20 years. To me these years are also special because I am a Dafa practitioner and I have followed Master closely. This is my prehistoric vow and I need to do well in validating Dafa.
I always remind myself to do the things that Master expects us to do. If we have no or few negative thoughts, we’ll do things well. Whenever a project needs supplies, I buy them immediately. I also follow the advice that I received many years ago: always buy the best for things related to Dafa; no need to worry about money.
For example, when first establishing the material production site, a practitioner providing technical support said printing books requires a laser printer, not an inkjet printer. I bought an Epson R1390 A3 in 2007. As long as it for validating Dafa, as it is for helping save people, I will do it. It is also very efficient this way.
Master said,
“Since you’re doing this work you should do it well. High-level beings often tell me that they think your being able to contribute to Dafa here has laid an excellent foundation for your future lives for an incredibly long time in the later historical period. In other words, they envy you since they don’t have the opportunity to do these things.” (“Teachings at the Conference of Changchun Assistants”)
Supporting Others Quietly
More and more family-based material production sites were established. There are many elderly female practitioners in my area, so I was responsible for purchasing, and storing supplies, and making sure they had what they needed. Whenever they needed supplies they contacted me. I still felt this wasn’t safe, and because I had to supply so many practitioners there were occasional communication problems. I tried to change the situation, but most practitioners just wanted to continue.
Was I too attached to my wish to change this situation? When I looked within, I noticed I had some issues—I did not cultivate well. I had many negative thoughts. For example: since I’ve done what you don’t want to do, please do not be picky. I liked to hear praise, not criticism. I also had a show-off mentality and I thought I was better than others. I’m working on eliminating this.
In addition to purchasing supplies, I have to do physical labor such as moving, loading, and unloading them. One time we ordered more than 10 boxes of calendar stands which had 350 in each box. The boxes were heavy. The truck was parked at the end of alley and I had to carry them on my back, one by one. As I carried them, I recited “Arhat Carrying a Mountain on His Back” (Chapter II, The Great Way of Spiritual Perfection).
I understood why the coordinator asked me to be responsible for the supplies. This could be arranged by Master so that I could improve my cultivation and I supported many material production sites. I will continue to do this—no matter how long I’m needed.
Master said,
“In fact, a coordinator is someone who gathers people together, and he too is an ordinary cultivator; he’s somebody who serves others and gives more of himself.” (“Fa Teaching Given at the Meeting with Asia-Pacific Practitioners”, Collected Teachings Given Around the World, Volume VI)
This is my goal in these years. I think it is important to study Dafa teachings well because this is the foundation. The longer Fa-rectification is, the more I cherish the title of Fa-rectification Period Dafa Disciple. Master has sacrificed so much for us and for sentient beings. We have to remain diligent, do well, and do better.
Above are my understandings. Please point it out if anything is inconsistent with Dafa teachings.
