(Minghui.org) A Falun Dafa information day was held in Gouda, the Netherlands, on November 1, 2025. Practitioners set up display boards on Turfmarkt in the center of the city and demonstrated the exercises. They distributed flyers and told people about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution. Many tourists learned about Falun Dafa and signed the petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Gouda is a city in the province of South Holland in the western Netherlands. It is famous for its cheese, caramel waffles, and its numerous canals. Its many historical churches and buildings make it a popular day trip destination.

Tourists Condemn the Persecution

A man read the display boards with photos showing the CCP’s torture of practitioners and asked about the persecution in China.

A practitioner told him about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution. The man said, “I come from the US. I am here to accompany my wife for short term work. I’ve never heard of the persecution. It is terrible!”

The man said he lived in the mountainous area near the border to Mexico. He signed the petition to help stop the CCP’s state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting and said he would learn more about Falun Dafa.

Anna Uwjist and Erils Bijl said they were shocked to hear of the CCP’s persecution. Anna said, “Freedom of belief is normal in the Netherlands. It is hard to imagine that the persecution occurs in today’s China. I think this is crazy.”

Erils said the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance are the most important values: “I think the principles fit all people, no matter where you live or what kind of culture and belief. Everyone needs to respect each other and be considerate. I think this is important.”

Referring to the CCP, Erils said, “Communism is deceiving people. It claims to achieve equality for all, yet it harms the best people in the world—the victims [of the persecution], whom we consider the best people in the world. Harming the best people in the world is an extremely evil injustice. Such actions will shake the rule of communism.”
