Greetings, Master! Greetings, fellow practitioners!

I am 53 and I began practicing Falun Dafa in 2012. I’d like to tell you how I clarified the facts about the persecution to the police and I was able to have them return my Dafa books.

Arrest and Detention

Someone knocked on the door when I was visiting the Minghui.org website one evening in February 2025. I opened it and five police officers came in.

I live alone and I didn’t know what to do. When one of them grabbed my cell phone, I said, “What are you doing? Do you have a search warrant?” One officer showed me a printed form. It was hard to see because the ink was faint ink, but my name was large and clear.

I said, “There’s no official seal.” They ignored me and continued searching through my belongings.

When two officers forced me sit on the couch, I knew I had a gap in my cultivation. I was addicted to my cell phone, especially watching short videos. I couldn’t control myself. Minghui repeatedly reminded us to remove apps like WeChat. After I removed them, I reinstalled them. I knew this caused my tribulation. I silently apologized to Master.

I have several printers and one of them was on the table. I also have paper money printed with Falun Dafa phrases such as “Falun Dafa is good” and “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are good.”

Then I remembered Master’s words, “The actions they are now adopting in the persecution of Dafa and its students are extremely evil and shameful, and they fear these will be exposed.” (“Rationality”, The Essentials of Diligent Progress II)

I thought, “Yes there were many police officers, but I could still speak out.”

I initially hesitated, but then I shouted, “Help! Help! There are robbers here!” Because I kept shouting, the police didn’t know what to do. I continued yelling as two of them dragged me into the bedroom.

Even though no one came, I continued shouting. The police stopped ransacking and ordered me to stop. I said, “I want the neighbors to know that gangsters broke into my home.” He said this was a mass arrest and showed me a list of names. But he took it away before I could read it.

Because I kept yelling, several neighbors finally came and asked what was going on. One officer said it was because I practice Falun Dafa.

“So what?” one neighbor replied. “Did she cause any trouble?” The officer said no but the government does not allow Falun Dafa.

“My electric bike was stolen, but the police didn’t do anything. Why do you keep arresting good people? Every one knows she (me) is the best person in this building,” the neighbor said.

The police told the neighbors to get out.

Before they left I asked one neighbor to call my daughter. She did.

One hour later, I was taken to the police station. Because I kept yelling, they did not take the printers or the paper money printed with Falun Dafa phrases. I saw a large pile of my belongings piled on a large table in the police station including two computers, dozens of Dafa books, Master Li’s portrait, several USB drivers, two speakers, and two cell phones.

Someone asked if those items were mine and when I started to practice Dafa. Knowing they were trying to collect evidence to frame me, I refused to answer and just told them to stop doing bad deeds. I also said China is not the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), and the officials should not just blindly listen to the CCP.

The police took all my Dafa books, except two, to another room. I checked the door – it was locked and I could not leave. So I sat back down and read the books. I knew I had slacked off in my cultivation. Although I still did the three things, I did not cultivate well or improve my xinxing. I had attachments to fame, material interest, sentimentality, and lust. I made so many mistakes. I was determined to change and I asked Master for help.

The next morning, an officer tried to take me to a police department for fingerprinting. But I began shouting, “The police are violating the law! The Chinese Constitution guarantees freedom of belief!” Because I kept shouting they did not take me there, instead they sent me to a detention center for 10 days.

I did the exercises, told people about Dafa, and looked within to improve myself. When I was released, I knew I had to rectify myself.

I also knew I needed to get my belongings back from the police station. I’m usually introverted so this was not easy.

Trips to the Police Station

As soon as I arrived at the station my mind was filled with complaints—why did they take my personal belongings?

An officer asked me to wait in the reception room, but he didn’t return until late afternoon. He brought several pieces of paper for me to sign. It was written on the paper: so and so came searching my home on such and such a date. I took the pen and wrote their names on my hand. He tried to stop me.

I said I would look up their names on the internet, and I would not stop there. He begged me not to go after the person; otherwise, he may lose his job because that person was his boss. He said he would try to return my personal belongings.

After I came home I told a practitioner how to argue with the police. She said the way I handled it was related the attachment of competing and resentment and came from CCP culture. When I read the teachings later that day, I realized she was right and I regretted behaving so poorly.

I went to the police station the following day. This time I skipped the reception room and went upstairs. When I found the person I was looking for, I asked to get my items back. He said, “I just follow orders and keep these things here. You need to talk to the authorities.” I didn’t know what to say so I left.

The police did not want me to go there again and called my daughter and asked her to stop me. “We Chinese people believe in respecting our parents I cannot stop my mother if she wants to do something,” she said.

When I later talked with the police, they said I raised a good daughter. I said that’s because practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.

Improving Myself

Seeing it was a stalemate I wondered what I should do. By reading the Justice Forum I learned Falun Dafa practitioners are not breaking any laws—the police officers are. We need to explain this to them.

With compassion in my mind, I decided to write letters. I wrote three, one for the Domestic Security Department manager, one for the police station director, and the third for the police officer who handled the case.

When I arrived at the police station, I saw the Domestic Security Department manager and gave him the letter. “I’ve been studying the law. Here are my notes. Could you take a look?” The police officer in charge of the case also came and I gave him his letter.

There were other officers in the room and some of them began to read the letters. They occasionally checked their cell phones to verify that what I wrote about legal procedures was correct. One got up and went to another room and made copies. Afterwards he asked me to leave since they needed to have a meeting. I could feel the vicious elements in other dimensions were being disintegrated, and I continued sending forth righteous thoughts

About 20 minutes later, an officer asked me to come in. His attitude was better. He asked me to turn on the computer so that he could take a look. I said no since this was my private property. He then asked about the contents in the USB drive, I did not answer either. In the end, I was able to get the two computers and some Dafa books.

After I returned home, I realized I hadn’t really told the police the facts about the persecution. There was an example in the Justice Forum. Since officials often framed practitioners with Article 300 of the Criminal Law, one practitioner memorized it. She then recited it court and pointed out practitioners had not violated it. The judges were speechless because they realized the persecution had no legal basis.

So I bought two books, one was the Chinese Constitution and the other was Criminal Law. I found the place mentioned by the Justice Forum and repeatedly read the text.

More Trips to Police Station

I went to the police station and found the Domestic Security Department manger. I told him, “We are all Chinese citizens and we should follow the laws.” I opened the Constitution and Criminal Law book, I asked if he would like to read or should I read it to him.

The manager looked nervous and began to walk out.

“Wait! I haven’t started reading yet,” I said.

“I’ll get your books,” he replied.

I could tell the vicious elements behind him were frightened. He gave me a bag containing more than 10 Dafa books. I went home.

After I returned home, I checked the bag and I saw some books were still missing. As I continued reading the Fa I realized my fear was getting weaker. The next time I went to the police department, the manager asked why I was there. I smiled and said I would like a brief chat and he said fine.

“I have been thinking,” I said, “Falun Dafa teaches one to be a good person: at work, in the family, and in the society. We need good people in the society. Right?”

He looked at me and did not know how to answer.

I said I thought of suing him, but I was worried doing that would hurt him and his family. I told him that Master said,

“You should always be benevolent and kind to others and consider others when doing anything. Whenever you encounter a problem, you should first consider whether others can put up with this matter or if it will hurt anyone. In doing so, there will not be any problems.” (Lecture Four, Zhuan Falun)

The manager’s eyes welled up with tears. He returned all of books and books that he confiscated from other practitioners. Walking out of the police station, I was touched by Master’s compassion and Dafa’s power.

My Last Trip

After I went home, I realized I needed to talk to more police officers. When I felt fear, I read the teachings.

My fear diminished and I went back to the police station and I looked for the officer in charge of the case. He looked nervous when he saw me, but I greeted him cordially.

“Why are you here again? We returned your belongings,” he said.

I said the USB drives were missing.

“Get out!” he screamed.

My anger rose, but I reminded myself that I was a practitioner, and I knew anger was demonic nature. So I calmed down and laughed.

Looking embarrassed, he asked why I laughed.

“Some people say you’re fierce, but I don’t agree. You treat your parents well. Right?” I asked.

He smiled and said, “I don’t make decisions about the things confiscated from you. I have to follow orders from the police department.”

“That’s why I want to discuss a solution. One option is for me to keep coming here and discussing it; another option is for me to directly go to the police department, and tell them you are incapable of making this decision,” I continued.

“I’ll lose my job,” he said. He said the police department had a meeting recently and all police stations participated. The higher officials said the situation was not stable. “Someone asked about the items confiscated from practitioners, the answer was: return them; someone asked about paper money with phrases, the answer was return them too,” he explained. “Every time you come here, we have to report it and check with the police station. We have to listen to orders.”

I said the Party constitution required to devote one’s life to the CCP. Did he want to sacrifice his life for the CCP? He shook his head.

“Looking at past political campaigns, we know things keep changing. A perpetrator in one campaign is the victim next time. So isn’t it better to be smart instead of blindly follow the CCP?” I said.

“But I have to follow orders,” he replied.

I said people know the persecution of Falun Dafa has no legal basis. If the persecution is investigated in the future, no one – including his boss – will defend him. The officers agreed to quit the CCP organizations and asked me to come back next week.

I was a little busy that day, but I kept my promise. There were 7 or 8 officers in the room and I asked Master for help so that these people could be saved.

They asked lots of questions. When they said the CCP paid my pension, I said it was from my workplace; when they said Dafa was a cult, I said that was a lie and that Dafa was not even on the CCP’s cult list. Someone checked their smart phone and confirmed this.

When someone asked why we recommended people quit the CCP organizations, I said people have the freedom to choose their path instead of sinking with regime; some people asked what if China becomes a mess after the CCP collapses. I said no need to worry. Many countries without the CCP are just fine and even better, so we would be fine, too.

One person came in carrying a tea cup and asked about the staged Self-Immolation Incident in Tiananmen Square. I said it was hate propaganda made up by the CCP and had many loopholes. For example, there was no way first responders during an emergency incident would be able to film clear footage from long shots and close-ups. Plus, it is impossible for a person with tracheotomy to sing a song, as was depicted by the fabricated news story.

One person said, “You can talk about this here, but not on the street. Otherwise, we will arrest you.”

I said, “Police should arrest bad people, not good ones. There is nothing wrong with talking about the facts. Right?”

The people in the room agreed, and some nodded.

I looked around and I noticed many people entered the room because it was lunch time. Some were curious and asked why the CCP suppressed Falun Dafa. I explained that it was because the number of practitioners exceeded CCP members. Plus, the CCP promotes class struggle, hatred, brutality, and lies, which is opposite to the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance of Falun Dafa.

They returned everything to me. I was happy for the opportunity to tell them the facts. Through this process, I’ve let go of my resentment and replaced it with compassion. I hope more practitioners can learn the basics of the law, and work together so we can help Master save more people.
