(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa in 1998. During my twenty-plus years of cultivation, I’ve had many experiences where, under Master’s protection, I was able to avert danger, and perilous situations were turned into safe ones. I’d like to share a few of these experiences with you.
Unharmed After a Fall
I am a welder, and I work with a partner on steel structures. We were installing corrugated steel panels on a wall, and I was standing on top of a 15-foot-tall bamboo ladder. As I exerted force, the ladder suddenly broke. Because the steel panel was very wide, I had nothing to grab hold of, and I fell from the top of the ladder. I heard a cracking sound as my body broke the ladder rungs one by one on my way down. I landed heavily on the ground. I was terrified and in pain, but when I got up and checked my arms and legs, I found I was completely unharmed. I knew Master protected me.
Unharmed After a Metal Pipe Fell on Me
I worked on another steel structure. I worked below, and a foreman dismantled the iron pipe supports more than four meters above me. He didn’t notice that someone was below and struck forcefully, causing a 12-foot-long iron pipe, 2 inches in diameter, to fall, hitting me directly on my right shoulder. The impact made me see stars, and I felt dizzy. At that moment, a thought flashed through my mind: I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner—I’m fine. I silently recited, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Several of my co-workers were startled by the accident and hurried over to ask if I was hurt. I moved my right hand a few times and said I was fine! I unbuttoned my shirt to check my right shoulder; there was just a rectangular red mark with a little blood, but no bleeding. I was truly fine, and the mark disappeared a few days later.
Looking back now, I still feel a little scared. That long iron pipe fell towards my head. If it hadn’t been for Master’s protection, and hit the back of my head, the consequences would have been unimaginable. If I hadn’t had such strong righteous thoughts at the time— “I am a Dafa cultivator, nothing will happen to me”—the outcome might have been terrible.
The Structure I Installed Survived Strong Winds
I try my best to hold myself to the standards of Falun Dafa at work. Many people have begun installing colored steel roofing, and the competition for workers to do the work is fierce, driving prices very low. Because of this, many people cut corners when building colored steel sheds for others.
I was building a colored steel shed on the second floor of a house in a village. To save money, the homeowner asked us to build only three walls with steel panels. However, I knew this would create significant wind resistance, and the shed might be blown away in strong winds. To ensure the homeowner’s safety, I suggested that we leave an eight-inch gap in the front wall if he insisted on this design. The homeowner agreed. We completed the project using the best materials and a high quality of workmanship. The homeowner was very satisfied.
A few months later, the homeowner called me and said there had been strong winds the previous night, and the corrugated steel additions on many houses in their area had blown off; some even had their entire roofs completely ripped off. But his house was unaffected, and he said we did a good job. He also said he wanted to replace the roof of his other house and wanted us to do the work. Later, we also did work for many other houses in that area, and they all praised our work, saying that none of the roofs we installed were blown off by the wind. This is all a result of my, as a Dafa cultivator, striving to be a good person wherever I am. I always consider others and follow Master’s teachings.
Thank you, Master, for your teachings and compassionate protection. Only by diligently cultivating myself can I repay Master for everything he has done for me.
