(Minghui.org) Vietnam is one of only a few communist countries in the world. In such a country, organizing the type of activities that practitioners in free countries do publicly to clarify the truth, such as waist drum performances or helping people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), would bring undesirable results. If everyday people then have a negative impression of Falun Dafa, their futures are at stake. So we must ask ourselves: why do we still hold these public activities? Are we being selfless, or are we pursuing something for ourselves? We should think rationally, based on the Fa, to eliminate our notions. A genuine practitioner should be able to do this naturally.
If local practitioners fail to study the Fa well and elevate, they are likely to sabotage their hard-won cultivation environment and create a negative image of Falun Dafa in the eyes of Vietnamese people and Chinese tourists. This would give the CCP an excuse to persecute practitioners in Vietnam.
Practitioners in Vietnam should cherish the current peaceful cultivation environment; it was created with Master’s help and local practitioners’ hard work.
Taking the Fa as Teacher
Master published an article “To Vietnamese Students” on November 27, 2018, about the situations faced by practitioners in Vietnam. It’s such a privilege to have special guidance from Master, yet I wonder if we all cherish it and know the words by heart.
Master said,
“In order to shift the pressure elsewhere, the CCP spies that have infiltrated the Vietnamese government use money, diplomacy, and commercial interests to urge the Vietnamese government to oppress Falun Gong students, thereby diverting international attention and alleviating the pressure the CCP brought upon itself due to the persecution of Falun Gong. Because of this, students should remain calm in this unusual period of time and refrain from organizing large-scale truth clarification activities at present, not to mention getting confrontational. Cultivation, to begin with, is about cultivating one’s self and giving up attachments. Therefore, put the primary focus on individual Fa study and practice in this period of time and do not organize large-scale Fa study or practice activities. Observe quietly; whoever provokes the situation has a problem! Be sure to remember this.” (“To Vietnamese Students”)
In recent months, the CCP intensified its blockade and made it difficult for overseas practitioners to call China to clarify the truth to people. This should be a sign for us to focus on our cultivation and improve our xinxing. However, some individuals used manipulative tactics to put pressure on other practitioners and incite them to go to tourist attractions to hold up signs and clarify the truth to Chinese tourists face to face. These practitioners also wore the yellow exercise shirts to perform in public and announce irrational, confusing, and misleading statements about Falun Dafa with loud speakers.
One practitioner, Wang, organized many practitioners from out of town to go to his area and rented places for them to stay. Wang then took these practitioners to tourist attractions to clarify the truth to Chinese tourists. Some local practitioners ended up joining them, due to peer pressure. One time, Wang was able to mobilize hundreds of practitioners, which became a form of interference for practitioners in Vietnam.
These activities caused resentment among Chinese tourists and management personnel throughout Vietnam. On the surface, this was due to the large number of practitioners who were careless in their appearance, demeanor, and behavior. In reality, it was interference from other dimensions because practitioners’ hearts were impure and their actions were not based on the Fa.
Looking Within During Conflicts
Genuine practitioners know that our cultivation journeys will not always be smooth sailing. When tests come, we should recognize them and improve, based on the Fa. If we always treat conflicts and confusion like everyday people do, we become everyday people and miss opportunities to cultivate ourselves.
We should be able to recognize when practitioners and their actions deviate from the teachings, and look within for what attachments we still have. Then we should study the Fa more, send righteous thoughts to clean out other dimensions, and eliminate our attachments. In the face of confusion, if we always remember what Master says, instead of what so-and-so said, we can remain steadfast and the evil will have no place to stand.
Eliminating CCP Culture and Atheism
The ideology of communism has infiltrated the minds of Vietnamese people. Besides studying the Fa, have Vietnamese practitioners tried to eliminate the elements of communism by reading books on communism published by The Epoch Times? Many practitioners in China learned a painful lesson after the persecution started because they still harbored CCP culture. What is happening now in Vietnam happened before in China. To avoid repeating the same mistakes, practitioners in Vietnam should study the Fa more and read more of Minghui’s sharing articles.
Master said, “...cultivation depends on one’s own efforts, while transforming gong is done by one’s master.” (Lecture Two, Zhuan Falun)
If practitioners know to take the Fa as Teacher, they would do the right thing when facing different temptations by following the instructions given to them in “To Vietnamese Students.” When someone said, “If you don’t come out, you’re not a true practitioner” or “there aren’t many opportunities like this left,” or when someone asked you to join group activities in public and clarify the truth face to face like practitioners in free countries, you would not have been misled if you had remembered what Master said in the article.
Practitioners in Vietnam should “put the primary focus on individual Fa study and practice in this period of time” (“To Vietnamese Students”) because this is Master’s arrangement for us.
Some may think that because the article was published in 2018 and a long time has passed, it doesn’t apply today. We are still in the process of Fa rectification. Such a thought is disrespectful to Master and his teachings, and it stems from not understanding the Fa correctly and from atheist thinking. We should remain humble disciples. I suggest practitioners read more of this year’s China Fahui sharing articles. It will help us think in the right direction.
It is Master who is saving people. How could we assist Master in saving people if we don’t follow his teachings? If we don’t genuinely cultivate ourselves, how could we save others? We might not be given another opportunity if we keep making mistakes. I hope practitioners in Vietnam can cherish the Fa, cherish Master’s arrangement for us, and cherish the limited opportunities remaining.
