(Minghui.org) I used to be a strong-willed woman attached to fame, fortune, and sentimentality, but after I started practicing Falun Dafa in July 1996, I required myself to follow Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. I learned to care about others, be kind, eliminate selfishness, and put others before myself. My relatives and friends also understood that Dafa was good. Some began to practice Falun Dafa, and some of them received blessings and were spared from disasters. The following are a few examples.
Customer: “People who practice Falun Dafa are truly good!”
I’m a businesswoman. It’s quite evident that morality is declining in society these days, and there’s a lot of chaos in the business world. However, I adhere to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, striving to be honest. Several times, customers have overpaid for goods. When I realized the overpayments, I immediately went after them and returned the money. Here are just a few examples.
Someone made a purchase, and instead of paying 20 yuan, she paid 200 yuan. After I noticed the overpayment, I chased after her for quite a distance. When I caught up with her, I said, “You paid the wrong amount.
She quickly responded, “I gave you 20 yuan!”
I replied, “You paid 200 yuan.” People around were surprised, and one woman said, “How kind you are to chase after her!”
I told the woman, “I practice Falun Dafa. Our Master teaches us to be good according to Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and not to take what isn’t ours. We also have a practitioner who found 68,000 yuan and waited to return it to the owner. The owner offered him money as a reward, but he refused to take it.”
After hearing this, another person said, “You Falun Dafa practitioners are so kind-hearted. Look at all the thieves and robbers these days, and you people don’t even take the money offered to you.”
On several other occasions, customers bought things, and after paying, forgot to take their purchase. More than ten days later, I saw one of these customers and told her she hadn’t taken her goods. She was surprised, and said, “Oh, did I buy that? I completely forgot I bought anything. How can you be so kind?!”
“I do this because I practice Falun Dafa.” I also told her that if I didn’t practice Dafa, I wouldn’t have asked her to take what she bought before. Last time, I overheard someone say they forgot what they bought at a store and when they went back to get it, the shopkeeper said they hadn’t seen it. Some shopkeepers also cheat customers by shortchanging them. Because I practice Falun Dafa, I don’t cheat customers.
When I bought something, the shopkeeper charged me ten yuan less, and I later gave it back to him. The shopkeeper was very touched and said his wife was still scolding him for losing money. He said, “People who practice Falun Dafa are truly good!”
My In-Laws Said, “Falun Dafa Is Good.”
After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began persecuting Falun Dafa, my father-in-law, poisoned by the CCP lies, opposed my studying the Fa and doing the exercises. He even beat me, forbade me from practicing, and repeatedly told my husband to divorce me. My mother-in-law was equally unkind. She frequently scolded me, took away the things I bought, wouldn’t give me food, and was always giving me the cold shoulder.
I had a very bad temper before I practiced Falun Dafa,. I would easily become angered and would argue with people. After practicing Dafa, my temper improved a lot. I thought, “Now that I practice Falun Dafa, I won’t argue with my in-laws. I must be patient.” So no matter how much they scolded me, I didn’t fight back. I followed Master’s teachings, not arguing with people, trying my best to be good to them, buying them clothes and food they liked to eat, caring for and being considerate of everyone. I bathed my mother-in-law, washed her clothes, and trimmed her finger and toe nails. Before practicing Falun Dafa, I couldn’t have done any of this. It was the greatness of Dafa that changed me, making me a cultivator who thinks of others.
I took every opportunity to tell them about Dafa. They saw a dramatic change in me after I started practicing, and my in-laws later understood that Dafa is good.
Our village was flooded one year. Many young people tragically drowned, and some families perished completely. My in-laws and their two-year-old granddaughter were at home at the time, and none of them were in danger. All the houses in the village collapsed, except for one wall of our house, which had our television, DVD player, and other valuables next to it. My in-laws were terrified, but afterwards knew that Master had saved them.
My mother-in-law also remembered how I used to argue with her son and have abortions, resulting in being infertile later on. However, after I started practicing Falun Dafa, I became pregnant. Now, their grandson is in graduate school and their granddaughter is in college. It was under Master’s compassionate protection that this family, which was on the verge of collapse, became an enviable and warm home. Therefore, the two elders now strongly endorse Dafa and tell others that Falun Dafa is good.
My mother-in-law is in her eighties. Every year during festivals, she puts her palms together in front of Master’s portrait, and greets him. She has received Master’s protection many times, escaping danger on numerous occasions. Therefore, she is very grateful for Master’s life-saving grace. She recites, and often tells others, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”
Now, my husband, children, and our whole family are fortunate to have become Dafa practitioners during the Fa-rectification period. We cannot express our gratitude to Master in any language. We simply say, “Master, you have worked hard! Thank you!”
Former Bureau Chief Said, “It’s the CCP that’s so evil”
I was once telling a man about Dafa and asked him if he was a CCP member. He was, so I told him that in Zhangbu Town of Pingtang County, Guizhou Province, there is a large rock that cracked, displaying the words “The Chinese Communist Party will perish.” I said, “It is a natural formation, believed to be a sign from Heaven. Since you are a CCP member and once raised your fist to swear an oath to follow the Party, you were marked with that seal. The Communist Party is corrupt and has committed countless evils. During the June 4th crackdown, many students were killed. Later, the Party started persecuting Falun Dafa, imprisoning practitioners who strive to be good people according to Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, and subjecting them to cruel tortures. I was also illegally sentenced to several years in prison. Inside, I was beaten, deprived of food, and denied use of the toilet. An elderly woman in her seventies went to the toilet, and the inmates used a large toilet brush to scrub her private parts. I was forced to wear a corset and hung from a security door until my entire body was numb and in excruciating pain. Some practitioners had their organs harvested while they were alive. The CCP has done many heinous things, so Heaven wants to destroy it. Look at the floods and plagues everywhere. If you quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, you can avoid disasters, stay safe, and have a bright future. What do you think?”
He responded, “Sure! I don’t want to lie to you, I’ve been a bureau chief for decades, and many people in my unit practice Falun Dafa. Before, they always took sick leave and claimed medical expenses. After practicing Falun Dafa, they stopped taking sick leave, their health improved, and they became very conscientious at work, changing the overall culture of our unit. It’s the CCP that’s so evil, launching so many persecution campaigns—the Cultural Revolution, the Three-Anti Campaign, the Five-Anti Campaign, and the Tiananmen Square Massacre—that killed so many people. You must be very careful! I know you’re risking your lives to tell us the truth about Dafa. You are amazing, your Master is so great! Falun Dafa is truly good. Otherwise, the CCP wouldn’t be jealous of you. Thank you so much!”
I said, “Just thank our Master. It is our Master’s compassion that sent us to save people. You can also tell your relatives and friends the truth about Falun Dafa that I told you, so they can also avoid disasters, be safe, and have bright futures.”
The man repeatedly said, “Okay, okay, thank you, I know, I know!”
