(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 5 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Xiaofeng and Ms. Zhao Guiping Tried
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Ruifeng Appeals 4.5-Year Wrongful Sentence
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Xinlian Has Gone Missing
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiuyan Harassed
1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Jin Xiaofeng and Ms. Zhao Guiping Tried
Mr. Jin Xiaofeng, 65, and Ms. Zhao Guiping, 71, were tried by the Dadong District Court on the morning of February 20, 2025. Both practitioners were arrested on July 13, 2024 by officers from the Shenhe Domestic Security Division and Quanyuan Police Station. Their cases were submitted to the Dadong District Procuratorate, which issued arrest warrants on August 19, 2024 and indicted them on December 10, 2024.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Ruifeng Appeals 4.5-Year Wrongful Sentence
Ms. Zhang Ruifeng was arrested at home by Ziyoudalu Police Station officers on the afternoon of April 29, 2024. The officers ransacked her home and seized her printers, computers, paper currency with Falun Gong information printed on them, Falun Gong informational materials, and other items. She has since been held in a local detention center. Her family weren’t allowed to visit her. Ms. Zhang was sentenced to 4.5 years in prison in early October 2024 and has appealed the verdict. She is having issues with her teeth and can only eat soft food. Her family are worried about her health.
3. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhao Xinlian Has Gone Missing
Ms. Zhao Xinlian, a teacher, was sentenced after being arrested while distributing Falun Gong flyers in Tuqiao area in April 2018. She went missing again in late 2024.
4. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Xiuyan Harassed
Ms. Wang Xiuyan of Xiakan Village was harassed and videotaped at home by two officers from the Chengguan Town Police Station of Yutian County on February 11, 2025. Police went to her place twice before the 2025 Chinese New Year to harass her. She was not home both times. They called her son twice after the new year.
