(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

7. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Guiying Sentenced to Prison
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Lijie’s Husband Tricked Into Signing Her Indictment
9. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Guangwen Arrested
10. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Make Fourth Court Appearance
1. [Hailin City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Sentenced to Prison
Mr. Zhang Zhong, Mr. Li Peng, and Mr. Shen Yuguo were arrested on the evening of January 18, 2024, by officers from Suifenhe City Domestic Security Division. Their homes were ransacked.
The three practitioners were later convicted by the Hailin City Court. Mr. Zhang was sentenced to 3.5 years, and both Mr. Li and Mr. Shen to 2.5 years. Each of them was also fined 2,000 yuan. They were admitted to the Mudanjiang Prison’s Training Team at the end of February 2025 and will be transferred to other prisons in the province in three months.
2. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Practitioners from Qingshui Town, including Yao Huaju, Yao Hualan, and another practitioner whose name isn’t known, were reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong in a neighboring village in early March 2025. Officers from Qingshui Town Police Station located their homes on March 11, 2025, by poring over surveillance camera footage. They arrested the three and ransacked their homes, confiscating their Falun Gong books, printed materials, and other personal items.
3. [Hanzhong City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Zhang Rongqin’s Home Ransacked
Huang Haiyan, the Chinese Communist Party secretary of Hanzhong Road Community Office in the Hantai District, and two police officers broke into Ms. Zhang Rongqin’s home and ransacked it in late February 2025. Her Falun Gong books, CDs, and other personal belongings were confiscated.
4. [Laiwu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Liu Qiumei Arrested
Ms. Liu Qiumei was followed while talking to people about Falun Gong at a vegetable market on March 7, 2025. The police ransacked her home and arrested her. Due to her high blood pressure, the Jinan City Detention Center denied her admission. Her family took her home around 10 p.m. that night.
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yu Xiaofeng Detained
Ms. Yu Xiaofeng from the Xuejia area in Xinfa Town, the Daoli District, was arrested on February 22, 2025. She was detained for 15 days and returned home on March 10.
6. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Cao Shunting Arrested
Mr. Cao Shunting from Shizhuangzi Village, Qianying Town, Fengnan City, was arrested shortly before the Chinese New Year on January 29, 2025.
7. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Wang Guiying Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Wang Guiying was arrested by police officers from Zhengzhou City, the capital of Henan, on November 13, 2023. She was later sentenced to three years and three months in prison.
8. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zheng Lijie’s Husband Tricked Into Signing Her Indictment
Ms. Zheng Lijie was arrested on August 4, 2024. She was released on bail shortly for health reasons. On March 6, 2025, Chang Liang and Ma Dongsheng from the Fenjin Police Station and clerks from Kuancheng District Court coaxed her into going to the court. They lied to her to try to get her to sign paperwork, saying it had to do with returning the 1,000 yuan deposit for processing her bail pending trial. When Ms. Zheng refused to sign, her husband was deceived into signing on her behalf. But even after he signed, they did not return the deposit. Ms. Zheng’s husband brought home copies of the three signed documents, and their family saw that it was an indictment against Ms. Zheng and practitioner Ms. Zhang Cuiqin.
Ms. Zhang Cuiqin has been held in Weizigou Detention Center since November 2024.
9. [Xinji City, Hebei Province] Mr. Zhao Guangwen Arrested
Mr. Zhao Guangwen from Dudaying Village was arrested at home around mid-March 2025.
10. [Chaoyang City, Liaoning Province] Five Practitioners Make Fourth Court Appearance
Ms. Hu Xiuli, Mr. Lan Qingzhong, Mr. He Hongjun, Ms. Fu Wenhui, and Mr. Tian Pengfei appeared in the Shuangta District Court for the fourth time on the morning of January 22, 2025. Their lawyers pled not guilty on their behalf.
