(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in the Greater Philadelphia area held a free exercise class at the Brandywine Hundred Library in Wilmington, Delaware, on March 22, 2025. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) and taught the five exercises to residents. After learning the exercises, many people expressed their wish to learn more about the practice and to read Falun Dafa’s main books, Zhuan Falun and Falun Gong.

Cindy, the event organizer, said, “The class went very smoothly. About 20 people participated. Some said they were deeply moved by the power of Dafa. Many people are seeking true cultivation. They want to continue practicing and understand that studying the Fa is the most important thing.”
Among the participants were a couple who run a dance studio. They said they planned to retire and were looking for a method that cultivates the body and mind. They were very happy to finally find it that day.
Another attendee said he became interested in Falun Dafa because he attended the screening of the documentary film, State Organs, last year.
Many people who went to the library that day stopped to learn about the practice. Falun Dafa is practiced around the world, allowing hundreds of millions of people to practice according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and improve their morals and physical and mental health, but it has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for 26 years. A man from China brought his child to the library. When he passed by the booth, he said, “I support all religious freedom.” He said his family watched Shen Yun, and it was very beautiful.
Another man came out of the library and immediately joined the Falun Dafa class after hearing about it. He said that he felt strong energy throughout his body after learning the exercises, and that his son previously bought him a ticket to watch the Shen Yun performance in May.
To allow more people to learn Falun Dafa and to allow those who have already started to practice to continue learning, Cindy said that she would hold another class at the same library at 1 p.m. on April 5. She also plans to hold group Fa study and exercise classes every Monday night starting in May. Interested people are welcome to participate.
Background
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. Its teachings are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. Millions of people who have embraced Falun Dafa’s teachings and exercises have experienced improved health and well-being.
The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Falun Dafa’s main book Zhuan Falun, has been translated into 50 languages. Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of the practice, and Falun Dafa have received over 5,800 proclamations, awards, resolutions, and letters of support from governments. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is cherished by people all around the world, however, this practice is severely persecuted in China.
