(Minghui.org) As cultivators, we might think our initial thought is known only to ourselves and invisible to others. However, it is seen by the countless divine beings above and even more so by Master; they know what’s on our mind before we even think about it.
Therefore, we must pay attention to cultivating our thoughts and intentions. If we do truth-clarification work from the standpoint of a thought that is pure and selfless, the result will be good; if a thought is impure and selfish, it may bring disaster. Here’s a story from my past.
I have steadily made truth-clarification materials for more than a decade. The key to doing it steadily and smoothly is having righteous thinking. I began practicing Falun Dafa when the persecution was underway. I did not go through the individual cultivation period, so my understanding of the Fa teachings might not be deep. But my thoughts are pure. I only know that Dafa is good, and Master is good. I want to safeguard Dafa and Master.
The government’s propaganda did not deceive me, and I was not deterred by the persecution. I took over the job of making Dafa truth-clarification materials without hesitation, and I have devoted myself to it ever since.
When the persecution was at its worst, I thought that it should not exist, that what I was doing was righteous, that Master was in charge of everything, and that everything had to be done to help Master in Fa-rectification. I do what the Fa requires, and there is no danger in doing what is right. For more than ten years, I have held fast to this thought.
As an informational materials production site, we bought a lot of supplies and printed a lot of flyers and booklets, so big and small packages regularly came in and went out. After a long time, the neighbors all noticed the activity. They looked at me strangely, but my heart did not flutter, and I had no negative thoughts. I just became more rational and careful. In my heart, my neighbors were there to help me. They are my family and will not do anything bad. I have always been firm in this thought and have continuously strengthened this thought.
The person who lives downstairs from my apartment works at the Public Security Bureau. He heard that I practiced Falun Dafa and made materials, but he had not seen any of these things. One day, he came to my home for something and saw the truth-clarification materials and my printer. I told him the facts about Falun Dafa and talked with him about why he should quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its related organizations. He appeared to feel a bit panicked and left in a hurry. I did not think he would do anything that would cause trouble and I firmly held onto that thought.
A few days later, I spoke to a fellow practitioner about this. He told me to transfer the machine and remove the supplies, saying he was concerned about safety. I was under great pressure.
I remembered that Master told us,
“It is a very easy thing to control an everyday person’s mind.” (Lecture Three, Zhuan Falun)
I am a Dafa disciple, and after so many years of cultivation, isn’t it easier for me to guide ordinary people to do the right thing? I began intensifying the sending of righteous thoughts, in which I guided the neighbor to do the right thing by protecting me, a Dafa practitioner. After several days, he came to me and asked for my help in quitting the CCP. I knew that the evil elements influencing him were disintegrated.
In the battle between good and evil, Master’s Fa teachings are a beacon of light guiding my direction, giving me the power to eliminate evil, and strengthening my confidence in overcoming persecution.
