(Minghui.org) The U.S. Government’s tariffs on products from China have changed many times recently. After the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) retaliated with tariffs of its own, the Trump administration increased the tax to 145% but excluded electronic products from the list, while still keeping 20% fentanyl-related tariffs.
Meanwhile, the CCP contacted Vietnam, Malaysia, and other Southeast Asian countries, as well as Australia and Spain, for their support. As of this writing, the number of countries that will negotiate tariffs with the Trump administration increased from 75 to 135. Some Falun Dafa practitioners were disturbed by what happened, and I will share some thoughts about these events.
First of all, Falun Dafa is not political. Historically, most cultivation practices were not political and Falun Dafa practitioners should have an even higher standard than them. In particular, we should not be influenced by the CCP ideology.
We are here to cultivate. By telling people facts and exposing how the CCP is persecuting practitioners who follow the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and we can help save people. This is our responsibility, and it is not politically motivated.
Secondly, we should pay little attention to matters of everyday society. Most of us do not work in news media, so we should not focus on what is happening in everyday society. As members of society, we will see such information, but we should avoid being distracted by it or letting it affect our cultivation practice. Having a strong interest in these matters or being attached to them is a manifestation of everyday notions. We should avoid them.
Thirdly, we should not be influenced by the CCP narrative. Whenever something happens, we might think about how we can use it to clarify the facts better. By maintaining a strong main consciousness, practitioners will know what to do. On the other hand, if our opinions are similar to those of the CCP or the CCP-influenced news media, there could be problems. Whether intentional or not, we must be alert and not accept the CCP propaganda on any level.
Furthermore, Dafa practitioners have missions, and so does whoever is the U.S. president. Being given that job could be an arrangement of the old forces or of the Creator. Thus, one will do things that play a positive role and others that a play negative role.
Many Dafa practitioners have a strong understanding of modern science but may also be tainted by the CCP’s extreme ideology. Consequently, a practitioner might jump to conclusions too quickly or focus on one aspect without considering the bigger picture. In fact, those with significant missions should think more broadly. Even great strategists or chess masters know this principle.
There may be many options for getting from point A to point B, and sometimes, a straight line may not be the best route. We need to look beyond the two-dimensional world and evaluate things multi-dimensionally.
Dafa provides us with wisdom when we study the Falun Dafa teachings well. Also, we need to let go of attachments and human notions when evaluating things. Only then can we fulfill our mission in this ever-changing society.
Moreover, it may take time for President Trump to accomplish his mission and to fully grasp the true nature of the CCP. Coming from an American business family, he stands apart from other politicians. However, he has not lived in a communist country and hasn’t experienced the real harm that communism inflicts on individuals, families, and the nation. He might need time to fully comprehend these issues.
Lastly, the CCP has been persecuting Falun Dafa for 26 years, and many practitioners wonder when this tragedy will end. However, from another perspective, the divine allows the CCP to exist because Dafa practitioners have not yet fulfilled their missions. When we all do well, the CCP will fall, and the persecution will cease. If we rely on the U.S. government to achieve this, then we are not meeting the standard for practitioners and it will not happen.
In summary, we will see what unfolds and how practitioners fulfill their missions and play their roles. The most important thing is for each practitioner to cultivate solidly and not focus on others. Here is a joke: If you knew how to deal with the CCP better than President Trump, you would probably have been selected as the president, not him.
In any case, we should always look within and do things well. We should also trust the arrangements made by the divine.
