(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen Shan Ren International Exhibition was held in Rome on April 9, 2025. Many people viewed the paintings and listened to the volunteer guides’ introduction. They condemned the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners.

The exhibition was held in the Rome XII Municipal Council Chamber with the assistance of Rome’s XII Municipal Council. The artworks introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong), the CCP’s persecution of practitioners in China, and the return to traditional moral standards.
One of the organizers of the event, Pietrangio Massaro, Vice President of the XII Municipal Council, and Dr. Katerina Angelakopoulou, President of the Italian Falun Dafa Association, gave opening speeches and introduced the artworks.

Mr. Massaro said that the event was intended to allow people to enjoy free works of art that inspire deep spiritual reflection.
He said, “In addition to the artistic and spiritual aspects, we also want to convey information about human rights violations. We believe that this is the right place to condemn human rights violations.
“I have always believed that freedom is an absolute basic value for individuals and human beings. Therefore, I believe that the freedom of each of us includes freedom of religious belief, freedom of speech and freedom of opinion. For 16 years, I have always believed that it is unacceptable for a person, even just one person, to be persecuted for his or her thoughts, values, meditation, and beliefs. This is unacceptable and intolerable.”

Information about the exhibition
A woman and her daughter said they were drawn to the paintings, and admired how the artists portrayed the peacefulness of practicing Falun Dafa. After seeing the halo and pillars in Harmony, they said the painting reminded them of the saints in Christian art, and they felt the meaningfulness and power of faith.
A couple was saddened by the painting Orphans when they learned that children in China were persecuted because their parents practiced Falun Gong, which put the children in a miserable situation. They also condemned the persecution of faith.
A woman was moved by the strength and calmness shown in the painting The Tragedy of China. In the painting, a woman sits beside her husband, who was tortured to death. She holds her arms tightly to her chest, as if to comfort herself. Her clenched fists seem to show her resistance to this pain and injustice.
