(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 5 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 8 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Shouyu and Ms. Zhang Xiaorong Arrested
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Xianfang Abused in Detention Center
3. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengxiang Displaced, Ms. Wang Xiaohui Sentenced to Prison
5. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Qingyun and Ms. Liu Yuling Released from Detention Center
1. [Chongqing] Ms. Liu Shouyu and Ms. Zhang Xiaorong Arrested
Ms. Liu Shouyu, 72, lives in Tushan Town in the Nan’an District. On the morning of April 3, 2025, or the day before, more than a dozen people broke into Ms. Liu’s home and took her away. More than a dozen people ransacked her home later that day. Ms. Liu is now being held in Chongqing City First Detention Center in Yinglong Town in the Nan’an District.
Another local practitioner, Ms. Zhang Xiaorong, was also arrested around April 3, 2025.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Xianfang Abused in Detention Center
Ms. Meng Xianfang from the Shahekou District was arrested and taken to the Yaojia Detention Center on March 2, 2005. She was abused while in custody and is now in extremely poor physical and mental condition.
During the physical exam, Ms. Meng’s systolic blood pressure was as high as 280 mmHg, and she had kidney failure. The detention center doctor forced her to take antihypertensive drugs. Even though she was weak and powerless, she was still made to do forced labor, during which time she passed out on three occasions. Because of her poor health and slow work, the 30 detainees in her cell discriminated against her.
The guards also restricted the time she was allotted to use the restroom or wash, so she was once forced to relieve herself in her pants. Out of disgust and disdain, her cellmates stripped off her pants to wash her, which humiliated her.
3. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Xiao Aiqin, Mr. Sun Yingui, and Wei Xiaoye (gender unknown) were harassed by village Party secretary Wei Xinbo and four officers on February 9, 2025. The officers also took samples of the practitioners’ blood against their will.
4. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengxiang Displaced, Ms. Wang Xiaohui Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Zhang Fengxiang from Shuanghe Village in Bahao Township was often harassed by Bahao Township Police Station officers. She is now forced to live away from home to hide from the police.
Ms. Wang Xiaohui was arrested on the afternoon of May 17, 2024, and has since been sentenced to four years in prison.
5. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Ms. Ma Qingyun and Ms. Liu Yuling Released from Detention Center
Ms. Ma Qingyun and Ms. Liu Yuling were arrested in Beihai City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, on February 18, 2025. They were held in the Beihai City First Detention Center for 37 days and released on March 26.
