(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Liu Shuying was arrested at home by more than ten officers from a police station in Chengguan Town, Neihuang County, on the morning of April 8, 2025. The officers ransacked her place and seized her Falun Gong printouts and audio players. One of them said, “We monitored your every step when you were distributing Falun Gong flyers and have been tracking you for over a month.”
She was taken to the police station and was interrogated until 3 a.m. She fainted and was taken to the county hospital for resuscitation. She is now receiving treatments in the Anyang City Hospital.
Ms. Zhou Hongyan lives alone in Xigang District, Dalian City. She recently had a trip to Japan and lost contact with local Falun Gong practitioners between April 2 and 7, 2025. According to a practitioner who went to her home to check on her, her door was wide open, and her Falun Gong books, two computers, and two printers were missing.
Ms. Li Mingxia was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan on January 23, 2025. She appealed to the Weifang City Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict on March 20, 2025.
Ms. Wu Guiju of Wuchang District was arrested by Qingling Street Police Station officers on April 26, 2024. She has since been held in the Wuhan First Detention Center. Minghui.org recently confirmed that she had been sentenced to two years in prison by a local court.
Ms. Xing Yanbo was arrested on July 7, 2024. She was sentenced to ten months in prison and fined 9,000 yuan by the Daqing Court at the end of November 2024. She is being held in the Daqing Second Detention Center and scheduled to be released on May 7, 2025.
Just when Ms. Zhao Hong, in her 80s and of Jinzhou District, was about to go out for grocery shopping on March 21, 2025, a group of officers approached her and broke into her home. The lead officer showed her a video in his cell phone, which recorded her talking to a woman about the persecution of Falun Gong on the street on March 19. They seized all of her Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong.
She was taken to the Zhongchang Police Station for interrogation. The officers threatened that her practicing of Falun Gong would jeopardize her children and grandchildren, who would not get any government jobs after college graduation. They called her third son’s manager at work and her two daughter-in-laws, attempting to have them persuade Ms. Zhao to renounce Falun Gong.
Mr. Li Yousheng of Beixinbao Town was stopped by officers at a checkpoint on his way to his relative’s home on March 10, 2025. They found Falun Gong flyers in his luggage and arrested him. He was taken to the Longjushanzhuang Police Station and then to the Yanqing Police Department. The officers searched him, took his blood sample, and recorded his voice. At the same time, his local police searched his home, with no family member present. They seized his Falun Gong books and printouts. He was released around 6 p.m.
