(Minghui.org) May 13 is the 26th World Falun Dafa Day and the birthday of Master Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Dafa. In light of this celebratory day, a Falun Dafa Day flag was raised in front of Milwaukee City Hall for two weeks. The Mayor of Milwaukee and the Common Council also issued a certificate of recognition.

Mayor Cavalier Johnson of Milwaukee announced that a Falun Dafa Day flag would be raised in front of Milwaukee’s City Hall for two weeks. He also issued a congratulatory letter to practitioners.

Mayor Johnson wrote in his letter, “On behalf of the City of Milwaukee, I extend warm congratulations as you commemorate Falun Dafa Day.”

He also wrote, “As practitioners in our community celebrate Falun Dafa Day, we recognize the positive contributions this practice brings to individual health and to the broader goal of creating a more peaceful society.”

Resolution from the Common Council of Milwaukee and signed by Council President Jose G. Perez

Jose G. Perez, President of the Common Council of Milwaukee, and other members of the Council jointly issued a resolution to celebrate Falun Dafa Day. The resolution reads, “The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee herewith recognizes Falun Dafa Day in Milwaukee on May 13, 2025, and thanks the Wisconsin Falun Dafa Association for drawing attention to the practice of Falun Dafa.”

Practitioners Celebrate Falun Dafa Day in Madison and Milwaukee

Practitioners across Wisconsin held celebrations. Practitioners in Madison, the state capital, hung a banner that reads “celebrate World Falun Dafa Day” on a downtown overpass to inform passers-by about Falun Dafa Day and the health benefits of the practice.

Falun Dafa practitioners in Milwaukee, Wisconsin’s largest city, practiced the exercises on the afternoon of May 10 in downtown Milwaukee by Lake Michigan and distributed informational materials to passers-by.

A woman passing by said that she had seen the news about the House of Representatives passing the “Falun Gong Protection Act” and the “Stop Organ Harvesting Act,” and wanted to learn more. She did not expect that she would get what she wanted here. She thanked practitioners for their enthusiasm and dedication.

A couple was moved when they saw practitioners doing the exercises and asked where they could learn them. Practitioners gave them information and origami lotus flowers, and the couple said they would learn the exercises.
