(Minghui.org) May 13 marked the 33^rd anniversary on which Falun Dafa was introduced to the public in China, and subsequently the whole world. It was also Falun Dafa’s founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi’s birthday.

Falun Dafa practitioners on Reunion Island, France held an event at the Sao Paulo waterfront on May 17, 2025 to celebrate World Falun Dafa Day. Apart from large banners and truth-clarifying display boards, the practitioners also demonstrated the exercises and distributed fliers to introduce the goodness of cultivating in Falun Dafa to passers-by.

St. Paul’s Bay is a picturesque bay with pedestrian paths along the seaside and close to the bustling market. Although this beach is small, it is well known, thus attracting a large number of tourists and local residents for the occasion.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises to exhibit the goodness of Falun Dafa to the passers-by.

Practitioners distributed fliers to introduce Falun Dafa

After learning about the goodness of Falun Dafa, the residents of Sao Paulo were shocked to hear that this practice is being persecuted cruelly in China. Not only did they express their support for the righteous effort of calling for a stop to the persecution, they also signed the petition that is going to be submitted at the G7+7 meetings to call for an end to the persecution.

Such a Wonderful Cultivation Practice Should Be Encouraged and Spread Widely

François Grondin thinks that Falun Dafa should be encouraged and spread widely. He said, “This is such a wonderful cultivation practice, this persecution should have ended long ago. I had heard of the issue in the past and I thought that the persecution had already ended.”

Christopher, a municipal staff member, said, “People should return to kindness and compassion. This is very important, just like the Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance in Falun Dafa’s cultivation. The Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s persecution must stop. I thank all of you for telling me all of this. Wishing you all the best.”

Tourist Support the Righteous Effort to Call for an End to the Persecution

On the day of the event, many people expressed their interest in Falun Dafa’s cultivation and asked for related information. More than 100 people also signed the petition to support Falun Dafa’s call for an end to the persecution.

Anaïs, a Sao Paulo resident, said, “Of course I am willing to sign this petition. This kind of violent acts must be stopped!”

Laurent is a local resident of Chinese descent, and he knows about the CCP’s evil nature quite deeply. His grandfather migrated to the Reunion Islands so as to escape the Cultural Revolution in China. He signed the DAFOH/ETAC petition to call for an end to the CCP’s live organ harvesting.

Véronique is a psychologist and spoke at the event, “We have already entered the 21st century and I am shocked by the CCP’s evil persecution, extremely shocked. This is a crime against humanity and no words can describe it. We must try our best to remind more people. These people are just persecuted because they have a different perspective and a different belief. This kind of criminal behavior must be stopped.”
