(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 3 cities or counties in 3 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sheng Guilan Faces Trial
2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested and Detained
3. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Xinju Arrested
4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

1. [Yanji City, Jilin Province] Ms. Sheng Guilan Faces Trial

Ms. Sheng Guilan was indicted in 2024. She and her family received a court notification in May 2025 that her trial was scheduled for May 16, 2025.

2. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Six practitioners, including Ms. Chen Ying, Ms. Gu Lili, Ms. Pang Shuyue, Chunxiang (last name unknown), Ms. Cha Shuyan, and Ms. Feng Yurong, were arrested in Ms. Chen’s home on the afternoon of April 17, 2025, while studying Falun Gong teachings together.

The arrests were carried out by officers from Beihuan Road Police Station and Yanyuan Police Station, following orders from the Qinhuangdao City Political and Legal Affairs Committee and Qinhuangdao City Domestic Security Division. Four practitioners were taken to detention centers, while Ms. Chen and Ms. Gu are being held in the police hospital because of health reasons.

The seventh practitioner, Ms. Zhu Weihua, in her 70s, a retired teacher from Yanshan University, was also arrested on April 17, 2025. Her home was ransacked.

3. [Shiyan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Xinju Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xinju was arrested by Xiantao City Domestic Security Division officers on the evening of April 18, 2025, when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers. Her whereabouts are unknown.

4. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Four Practitioners Detained

Mr. Fan Yunpeng, Mr. Yang Fujun, Mr. Lyu Xianfeng, and Mr. Du Changjiang were arrested in December 2024 for installing satellite dishes for local residents to receive uncensored TV programs from the U.S. They are being held in the Dehui City Detention Center.
