(Minghui.org) May 13, 2025, was the 26th World Falun Dafa Day and the 33rd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. Senator John Cornyn and Senator Ted Cruz from Texas sent messages to mark the occasion.
Falun Dafa, also known as Falun Gong, is a practice based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. It was made public by Master Li Hongzhi on May 13, 1992 and is now practiced in over 100 countries.

Senator John Cornyn wrote, “I recently learned this year marks the 26th anniversary of World Falun Dafa Day, a spiritual discipline and practice which encourages communities to practice the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.
“I encourage the members of the Southern USA Falun Dafa Association to continue pursuing these principles and wish you peace during this year’s celebrations and in the years to come.”

Senator Ted Cruz posted on X, “China’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners is an attack on religious freedom and human rights. It’s long past time to dismantle the CCP’s state-sponsored organ harvesting industry.”
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has persecuted Falun Gong for over 20 years. Falun Gong practitioners are arrested, imprisoned, tortured, and even subjected to the CCP’s forced organ harvesting.
Senator Cruz has paid attention to the CCP’s persecution, condemned the atrocity, and voiced support to Falun Gong practitioners. He proposed the “Falun Gong Protection Act” bill in the Senate on March 3, 2025. This bill was passed in the House of Representatives on May 5. Once it is passed in the Senate and signed by the President, it will become a law to hold persecutors accountable.
