(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Xiuhua and Ms. Liu Shuwen Sentenced to Prison
2. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Xiuying Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
3. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Guifang Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison
4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Weimin Tried
5. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested
6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

1. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Xiuhua and Ms. Liu Shuwen Sentenced to Prison

Ms. Yang Xiuhua was arrested near the Harbin Railway Station on the morning of November 10, 2024. Officers from the Zhanqian Police Station ransacked her home the next day. She was sentenced to three years in March 2025.

Ms. Liu Shuwen was arrested at home by officers from the Yongzhi Police Station around 7 a.m. on November 20, 2024. She was sentenced to five years in prison in May 2025.

2. [Tianjin] Ms. Huang Xiuying Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Huang Xiuying from Wuben Village of Dongli District was tried by the local court in March 2025. Her family wasn’t notified of the hearing. She has been sentenced to three years and is scheduled to be transferred to the Tianjin Women’s Prison in August 2025.

3. [Zhenjiang City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Chen Guifang Sentenced to 3.5 Years in Prison

Ms. Chen Guifang, 68, was arrested by officers from the Jiuli Street Police Station on the afternoon of June 25, 2024, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was sentenced to 3.5 years and has been transferred from the Zhenjiang City Detention Center to the Nanjing Women’s Prison.

4. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Weimin Tried

Mr. Li Weimin was arrested in Langfang City (about 100 miles away) on October 8, 2024. He is currently detained in the Nanzhaofu Detention Center in Dacheng County, Langfang. He was tried by the Bazhou District Court of Langfang City on the morning of April 30, 2025.

5. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Arrested

Mr. Lyu Wenzhong was arrested in his neighborhood by officers from the Lanshan District Police Department on May 11, 2025. His home was ransacked at 11 p.m. that day. His wife, Ms. Tian Honggang, was arrested the next day.

Around 8 a.m. on May 12, 2025, Ms. Xu Yuzhen and Mr. Ji Zhongsheng were also arrested. They are currently held at the Hedong Detention Center. The two warehouses where they stored their belongings were ransacked. The police said they had been monitoring them for a long time before the arrests.

It is said that practitioner Gong Xianpeng was also arrested. Details about Gong’s case aren’t clear.

6. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Nine Practitioners Arrested or Harassed

Eight practitioners in Heishan County, including Ms. Xu Yue, Ms. Zhang Yanxia, Mr. Wang Haihui, Mr. Gao Xiaohua, Ms. Sun Sulian, Ms. Niu Tong, Ms. Liu Yuzhen, Ms. Liu Suyuan (88), were arrested at home on the morning of June 3, 2025. Their homes were ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books and the photos of Falun Gong’s founder.

Ms. Sun, Ms. Niu, and Ms. Liu Yuzhen were released on the same day. Ms. Xu and Ms. Zhang are currently held in the Jinzhou City Detention Center.

A ninth practitioner, whose name isn’t known, was harassed.
