(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Beijing] Ms. Zhu Ying Admitted to Prison
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wei and Ms. Zhao Xilan Sentenced to Prison
3. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Huiju Arrested
4. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Bao Siqingaowa and Ms. Zhang Shujie Harassed
5. [Pingchang County, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed
6. [Beijing] Ms. Guo Qing Persecuted
7. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Guo Danxia and Ms. Zhou Ming Persecuted
1. [Beijing] Ms. Zhu Ying Admitted to Prison
Ms. Zhu Ying, of Beijing, was arrested in the nearby Chengde City, Hebei Province, on June 4, 2024, while taking care of her father there. She was held at the Chengde County Detention Center. The Chengde Court held a hearing of her case on February 10, 2025, and sentenced her to two years with a 20,000-yuan fine on February 13. She appealed, but the appeals court ruled to uphold her original verdict. She was transferred to the Hebei Province Women’s Prison in the capital city of Shijiazhuang on June 16, 2025.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Wei and Ms. Zhao Xilan Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Wang Wei, 68, and Ms. Zhao Xilan, 66, were tried by the Hunnan District Court on November 22, 2025. It was confirmed on January 10, 2025, that Ms. Wang was sentenced to four years and Ms. Zhao received a one-year term.
Ms. Zhao was admitted to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison in February 2025. When her daughter visited her at an unknown time, Ms. Zhao was pale and emaciated. She didn’t talk much as their conversation was closely monitored by the prison guards standing on the side.
Ms. Wang appealed with the Shenyang City Intermediate Court. It ruled to uphold her original verdict on April 18, 2025. It’s not clear whether she has been taken to prison.
3. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Huiju Arrested
Ms. Liu Huiju, 83, was arrested at home on the morning of June 12, 2025. She was released later that day.
4. [Tongliao City, Inner Mongolia] Ms. Bao Siqingaowa and Ms. Zhang Shujie Harassed
Ms. Bao Siqingaowa was harassed by police officers from Baokang Town of Horqin Left Middle Banner on May 26, 2025. Ms. Zhang Shujie was harassed two days later on May 28, 2025. The police demanded their hair samples and blood samples. The practitioners refused to comply.
5. [Pingchang County, Sichuan Province] Eight Practitioners Harassed
Eight Practitioners were harassed by local police and community staff members around March 25, 2025. The harassers forcibly took their photos without their permission. The harassed practitioners are: Mr. Wang Shilian, Ms. Liao Shizhen, Mr. Du Zhijiang, Mr. Qin Conglin, Mr. Lyu Chunshan, Ms. Zhang Jiezhen, Mr. He Qian, and Mr. Li Zhanfang.
6. [Beijing] Ms. Guo Qing Persecuted
Ms. Guo Qing was arrested by officers from the Nanmofang Police Station in Chaoyang District on May 11, 2025. After she was denied admission by the lockup due to her diabetes, the police took her to a brainwashing center. She refused to renounce Falun Gong and was released.
7. [Yueyang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Guo Danxia and Ms. Zhou Ming Persecuted
Ms. Guo Danxia, 79, was arrested at home on May 16, 2025, by officers from the Lou District Police Department and Linxiang City Police Department. She was detained in the Yueyang City Detention Center before being transferred to the Guangji Hospital (a police hospital) recently.
Ms. Zhou Ming, 85, lives in Yuefang Residential Community. Her home was ransacked around mid-June 2025 by officers from the Yuecheng Police Station and the Lou District Police Department. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.
