(Minghui.org) I’m a farmer and I’m the oldest in my family. I have a younger sister and two younger brothers. I had a leg disease (necrosis of the femur) fifteen years ago which left me disabled. Ever since then, I’ve had to walk with crutches. My parents passed away when they were young, so my family was really poor. My youngest brother had a disorder, which affected his memory. He took up Falun Dafa to improve his health, and miraculously, his issue was resolved. Our entire family and all of his friends witnessed the supernatural power of Dafa.
Two years ago, my brother was arrested for telling people the facts about Falun Dafa and was later sentenced to six years in prison. He is single, and as his eldest brother, I knew I should take care of him, but I couldn’t afford a lawyer. I felt both anguished and helpless. However, when other practitioners heard about our situation, they took the initiative and raised money for a lawyer.
During the process of rescuing my brother, I saw that all the practitioners had high moral standards. They thought of others first and didn’t expect anything in return. I was touched by their unselfishness and dedication. Although I wasn’t against Falun Dafa initially, I didn’t support it either, for my own self-protection. Now, I thank Dafa’s founder, Master Li, from the bottom of my heart, for bringing up so many truly good people. I am grateful to those Dafa practitioners too. They quietly helped my brother and asked for nothing in return.
Their devotion encouraged me to do more. So even though it was difficult for me to walk with crutches, I accompanied the lawyer to various departments to deliver information and talk to the relevant people. One practitioner told me to recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” while I walked, and said it would help my situation. I did, and after a few days, my condition began to change miraculously! I walked faster, my back stopped hurting and was no longer as stiff as a board, and I could even walk without crutches. My brother told me many times in the past about the benefits of reciting these auspicious phrases, but I didn’t take it seriously. I regret now that I hadn’t listened to him.
Because my family and my siblings’ families all had financial difficulties, local practitioners again helped out and anonymously chipped in for my brother’s expenses in prison. I never met such good people, and so many of them!
From the bottom of my heart, I also want to cultivate and become a good person who thinks about others first. I’m now reading the precious book Zhuan Falun!
