(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities at Brisbane Square in the Brisbane city center and Cairns on July 19, 2025 to protest the 26-year persecution of Falun Gong practitioners in China and to expose the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) crimes of organ harvesting from imprisoned practitioners. They told people about the CCP’s transnational repression of Falun Gong and called for the persecution to end.
Practitioners held activities in Brisbane Square and Cairns in Queensland to protest the 26-year-long persecution.
The CCP uses China’s propaganda machine to suppress and slander Falun Gong, and the spiritual discipline is the main target of the Party’s transnational repression. The CCP violates freedom of speech and threatens practitioners’ safety. It violates the core values of a democratic society and the rule of law.
Falun Gong practitioners continue to peacefully clarify the truth about the persecution for 26 years which shows their resilience and conviction. The power of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and their compassion has awakened people’s kindness and consciousness.
During the events many people condemned the CCP and expressed their support for Falun Gong and practitioners. Many visitors from China withdrew their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
People learned the facts about Falun Gong and signed the petition to support practitioners.
Queensland Falun Dafa Association Representative Calls for End to the Brutal Persecution of Falun Gong

John Dowie, spokesman of Queensland Falun Dafa Association addressed the rally and said that the CCP launched a brutal and inhumane persecution of Falun Gong practitioners 26 years ago. Falun Gong is a spiritual practice with the core principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. The CCP arrests practitioners, tortures them, kills them and even harvests their organs. The regime destroyed thousands of Falun Gong practitioners and their family members’ lives.
He said the CCP’s persecution goes beyond China. They conduct Internet censorship, launch online attacks and various incidents of direct threats, violence, and espionage. Practitioners worldwide have been affected.
He called for the brutal persecution to end immediately.
Nurse: The CCP Must Stop Persecuting Falun Gong
Amilia said Falun Gong promotes Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, which is very important. The CCP must stop the persecution.
Amilia, a local nurse, said she was shocked when she saw the photos of Falun Gong practitioners being tortured. She didn’t know that practitioners were severely persecuted in China and she said the CCP was evil and committing crimes. With that, she became emotional and almost to tears.
She said that it was important that practitioners spread the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance which this world needs, and that the practitioners were peaceful and kind. The CCP must stop the persecution immediately.
She wanted to make a donation to the practitioners who were very thankful to her but told her that they didn’t accept donations. She signed the petition before she left.
She said that she would let more people know about the persecution.
Physical Therapist: It Is Everyone’s Duty to Expose the Evil
Katie and Danny signed the petition and encouraged practitioners.
Katie and Danny are physical therapists from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. They said they were attracted by the practitioners who silently stood in neat rows holding banners. They came to the stall to learn more about Falun Gong.
A practitioner told them her personal experiences of how she was tortured in China for practicing Falun Gong. They looked at the pictures and descriptions of how practitioners in China were persecuted. They were shocked. Katie said that she didn’t expect that the CCP was so evil and so brutally persecuted good people. She lived in a free society in Australia and could hardly believe such atrocities.
Danny thanked practitioners for telling him about the situation in China. He said it was important to let more people know the truth, and that practitioners did very well and did important things. He said that it was everyone’ duty to expose the evil.
They signed the petition and wished the practitioners good luck!
Retired Disability Support Worker: Stop Persecuting Falun Gong Immediately
Karen Donaldson was shocked when she learned how the CCP persecutes Falun Gong practitioners
Karen Donaldson is a retired disability support worker. She and her friend said they were attracted by practitioners’ peaceful exercise demonstration as they walked around Brisbane Square. They saw the banner about organ harvesting and 26 year long persecution. They were shocked.
Karen read the display boards and learned about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. She told practitioners it was unbelievable that this kind of thing was happening.
She thanked practitioners for holding these activities and letting her know how severe the persecution was. She said this persecution shouldn’t exist and it must stop immediately.
Chinese People Quit the CCP
About 19 Chinese people withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations after they learned the truth about the persecution.
Xiao Zhang (alias) is an IT engineer and explained that he read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. He agreed to quit the CCP and wished to help practitioners, “The CCP persecutes Falun Gong and is a human rights’ disaster. Freedom of belief is a God-given right and shouldn’t be violated. The CCP is very corrupt. It persecutes good people, and oppresses everyday people. Public anger is boiling over. The CCP doesn’t represent China or Chinese people. I hope the CCP collapses soon so that the Chinese people can have a new life.”
Collecting Signatures in Cairns
People in Cairns sign the petition to support Falun Gong practitioners.
Falun Gong practitioners in Cairns held an event in the Esplanade to let people know about Falun Gong and the CCP’s 26-year-long persecution.
An elderly couple from Victoria didn’t know that the CCP systematically harvests organs from prisoners of conscience, and mainly targets Falun Gong practitioners. They said that our world shouldn’t accept this kind of persecution.
One young man listened as a practitioner explained what Falun Gong is. He encouraged practitioners to keep up their good work.
Many people learned about Falun Gong and signed the petition to support practitioners. After two young men who work in a restaurant learned that practitioners follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance they said that Falun Gong could bring peace to the world and the world needs more peace.
