(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 14 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lyu Youzhi Arrested
6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Xianyan Detained
7. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Jiping Released from Prison in Severely Poor Health
8. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Laiping Detained
9. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Lianxia Detained

1. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Liang Shufa Transferred to Kangjiashan Prison

Mr. Liang Shufa was sentenced to three years in January 2024. He was admitted to Panjin Prison on April 1, 2024 and later taken to the Dongling Prison in Shenyang City. His family recently learned that he had been transferred to Kangjiashan Prison in mid-July 2025.

2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Yuling Arrested

Ms. Zhao Yuling, in her 60s, was arrested at home by Wanggang Town Police Station officers on the morning of August 14, 2025. Her family went to the police station that same day to demand her release, but to no avail.

3. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Jinhua and Ms. Li Wenying Arrested

Ms. Li Jinhua and Ms. Li Wenying were arrested by plainclothes officers from the Dalinghe Police Department and the Linghai City Domestic Security Division on the afternoon of August 12, 2025, after being spotted talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong near the South Linghai City Train Station. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Li Jinhua has been released; Ms. Li Wenying’s situation isn’t clear.

4. [Hailun City, Heilongjiang Province] Xu Xiaoguang Detained, Ms. Fu Jinling Harassed

Xu Xiaoguang, gender unknown, was arrested recently. Xu refused to sign statements to renounce Falun Gong and was taken to Suihua City for detention. Xu was also fined 5,000 yuan.

Ms. Fau Jinling was recently harassed and forced to pay the police 5,000 yuan.

5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lyu Youzhi Arrested

Ms. Lyu Youzhi was arrested at home by Longshan Police Station officers on the afternoon of August 13, 2025. They ransacked her place, seized her Falun Gong books, and took her to the police station. She was released that night.

6. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Tian Xianyan Detained

Mr. Tian Xianyan was arrested by officers from the Domestic Security Division and local police station on the evening of July 16, 2025. He is being held in the Weihai City Detention Center.

7. [Linghai City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Jiping Released from Prison in Severely Poor Health

Ms. Sun Jiping and her husband, Mr. Zhou Yonglin, were arrested by Yanjia Police Station officers on January 20, 2021. The Linghai City Court sentenced both of them to five years with a 10,000-yuan fine on March 15, 2021. Ms. Sun was transferred from Jinzhou City Women’s Detention Center to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on July 14, 2021 and was denied admission due to her poor health. The prison accepted her later at an unknown time.

Ms. Sun continued to suffer health issues in prison, which further worsened due to the abuse she experienced in detention. By the time she was released in August 2025, six months before the end of her term, she was emaciated. She also struggles with severe anemia, difficulty walking, and shortness of breath.

8. [Xiantao City, Hubei Province] Ms. Yan Laiping Detained

Ms. Yan Laiping was arrested by Xiantao City Domestic Security Division officers at noon on August 4, 2025. She was held in a lockup and released on August 14.

9. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Ms. Lu Lianxia Detained

Ms. Lu Lianxia was arrested at home by Liuzhuo Township Police Station officers on the morning of July 25, 2025. She was detained in a lockup and released on August 11.

10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Fan Arrested

Ms. Fan, first name unknown, was arrested by patrol officers when she was talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong near Laodong Park on August 5, 2025. After being held at the Gongren Village Police Station overnight, she was taken to the lockup to serve a ten-day detention. The guards refused to admit her, because she did not pass the physical exam. She was released on the evening of August 6.

11. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Changyan Arrested

Ms. Yu Changyan was recently arrested by Tiexi District Police Station officers.
