(Minghui.org) Falun Gong practitioners from the UK held a grand parade in London on August 23, 2025 to call for help to end the 26-year long brutal persecution by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). The activities also celebrated 450 million Chinese people who have quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Many people stopped to watch the parade, took photos, received fliers and expressed their support for Falun Gong practitioners.
Practitioners held a grand parade in London on August 23, 2025.
The parade began at noon near the Chinese embassy. Accompanied by tranquil, melodious exercise music as well as powerful drum beats, the contingent passed through the heart of the city including Regent St., Oxford Square, Piccadilly Square and Chinatown. It reached Trafalgar Square at around 1:30 p.m.
Formations in the Parade Tell Different Stories
There were distinct formations in the parade and each one told a story. Falun Dafa banners and replicas of the books from the practice told the story of how Falun Dafa became popular all over the world, followed by practitioners demonstrating the exercises and Chinese waist drums. Practitioners dressed in white commemorated those who have died in the persecution and exposed the brutal suppression by the CCP. The final section highlighted the 450 million Chinese people who chose to withdraw their membership from the Party and its affiliated organizations.
The parade highlighted the benefits of practicing Falun Dafa, the resilience shown by practitioners in exposing the persecution, and grief for those who have been tortured to death.
This parade not only demonstrated the practitioners’ unwavering conviction and peaceful, rational demeanor. It also transmitted a clear message to the world: stop the persecution and safeguard human rights, because this is the common responsibility of the entire human race.
After the parade, practitioners demonstrated the exercises at Trafalgar Square and spoke to people about the persecution. Many passersby expressed their support.
It Is an Honor to Speak Out for Justice
Laiosh, a knowledge management trainer, said it is an honor for him to speak out for justice.
Laiosh is a knowledge management trainer and lives in Budapest, Hungary. He said that he cannot accept the persecution of faith as it violates basic human rights, “I am absolutely against this. No one should be discriminated against because of their belief, even more should they not be killed for this, particularly when their practicing cultivation has not harmed others in any way.”
Laiosh said he wants to help spread the truth and bring people’s attention to the persecution, “In fact, right up to this moment, I knew nothing about it. So, I am grateful that you helped me know these things.” He also said he will read the flier and sign the petition. He added with a smile, “It is my honor to speak out for justice.”
The Unchanging Peaceful Demeanor, from Germany to London
Marianne and her husband said, “We observe that all Falun Gong practitioners who told us about the practice are extremely peaceful.”
Marianne and her husband said they had previously encountered activities held by Falun Gong practitioners while they were vacationing in Germany. They were thrilled to see such events again today. Marianne said that every practitioner she met gave her a beautiful impression: “I observed that all Falun Gong practitioners who told us about the practice are extremely peaceful… and positive.” She expressed interest in Falun Gong’s meditation exercises.
Her husband said, “I love peaceful people.” He explained his philosophy in life, “I hope to treat everyone with kindness.”
Organ Harvesting Is a Crime That Cannot Be Condoned
A couple from Italy signed a petition while watching the parade. Anna said, “I hope the situation in China can improve, I hope everyone can be happy in life. The current situation is horrifying – how can they take people’s organs while they are still alive! You cannot do that to even animals, much less humans!”
She added that she thought such events “help the whole world stop the persecution together.”
Her husband Nico also expressed deep concern for the brutality. He said sincerely that he hopes the situation in China heralds a complete change so that Chinese people will have a beautiful future.
Chinese People Who Quit the CCP: Thank You For Your Efforts
Many Chinese people withdrew their membership in the CCP after learning the facts about the persecution that day. One woman signed the petition. She is aware that Falun Dafa is good and that the CCP does nothing good. It even kills practitioners for their organs, and no one in China is safe. With tears in her eyes, she said, “Thank you, I hope you will persist.”
Two sisters were touched after hearing a practitioner describe how brutal the persecution is. When the practitioner told them the significance of quitting the CCP, the older one agreed to withdraw from the Party with some hesitation. The younger sister kept nodding, but did not say out loud that she wanted to withdraw from the CCP. The practitioner reminded her that she made a vow to give her life to the CCP when she joined it, so she needs to clearly express her wish to quit. She said in a loud voice: “Yes! I quit!”
The day’s activities concluded at 5 p.m. Through the parade, talking to people about the persecution and collecting signatures on a petition to end the human rights abuses, practitioners exposed the CCP’s brutal 26-year long suppression. They also called on people from all walks of life to uphold conscience, speak out and stop this genocide.
