(Minghui.org) Practitioners held activities next to the Royal Palace, in front of the Nobel Prize Museum, and next to the Concert Hall in Stockholm every weekend afternoon (Friday through Sunday) in July 2025. They introduced Falun Gong (also known as Falun Dafa) and raised awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution and transnational repression of the spiritual practice. They also called for help to end the CCP’s brutality.

July is the peak tourist season in Sweden. The streets and alleys leading to the old town of Stockholm and the Mynttorget next to the popular Royal Palace are filled with people. Tourists from all over the world visit the Stockholm Concert Hall (Konserthuset) and the Nobel Prize Museum.

Practitioners held events every Friday to Sunday in July to introduce Falun Gong and tell people about the CCP’s persecution.

The eye-catching banners, display boards, and exercise demonstration drew people to stop, watch, take photos and talk with practitioners. Many people signed the petition calling to end the persecution. While condemning the CCP’s atrocities, many applauded the practitioners’ perseverance and kindness and their decades-long peaceful protest.

Raising Awareness Near the Royal Palace

On a Saturday afternoon in early July, a couple from Portugal stopped at Mynttorget next to the Royal Palace to watch practitioners do the exercises. After reading the display boards and flyers, they walked over and sat quietly in solidarity with the practitioners for a long time.

A Portuguese couple sit with practitioners to show their support after learning about the CCP’s persecution.

The couple told practitioners that they were on vacation. The lady said, “We’re only staying in Stockholm for one night, so we’re so lucky to have learned about such an important event here. It’s truly astonishing. We just sat down with you to express our support. We support you and Falun Gong!”

The couple then signed the petition and said they were touched at the peaceful protest, and the practitioners’ resilience, integrity, and kindness. “What you’re doing is so important. We support you and hope you persist!”

A tour guide from Turkey who passed by the event with his group, was also struck by the tranquil and peaceful practice scene and the persecution revealed on the posters. He approached the practitioners to learn more.

After learning about more details, he took the petition book from a practitioner and said, “I’m aware of the ferocity and brutality of this evil CCP. I believe everything you’ve said is true and I absolutely support you.” After signing, he loudly called out to everyone around him to come and learn about the issue. “They [Falun Gong practitioners] are here to speak out for those being persecuted by the CCP. Let’s pay attention. Everyone, please sign to help stop the persecution.”

Event in Front of the Nobel Prize Museum

On a mid-July weekend, the Nobel Prize Museum was particularly crowded with visitors, and the Falun Gong practitioners’ booth was busy. Many visitors were moved by the peaceful and tranquil scene of the practitioners practicing the exercises. After viewing the display boards exposing the CCP’s forced organ harvesting from Falun Gong practitioners, people were eager to sign the petition calling for an end to the persecution. Many expressed their interest in Falun Gong, and some even learned the exercises on the spot.

Some people learn the Falun Dafa exercises at the event.

A young woman from southern Italy accepted a leaflet in Italian an read it carefully. After signing the petition, she told a practitioner that ten years ago, she studied and lived in Lanzhou, China, for a year as an exchange student. “I loved that place. However, while living there, I clearly felt that there was a lot of information that was simply unavailable and impossible to find online. Meeting you here today not only brought back wonderful memories of my time in Lanzhou, but also made me fully understand the unpleasant and incomprehensible things happening in China at that time,” she said.

“I particularly enjoy Chinese traditional culture and am very interested in Falun Gong,” she added. “The things I learned today are definitely things the CCP doesn’t want people to know, but they are extremely important. Thank you!”

Maria is an English teacher from Argentina. She brought a group of Argentine high school students to visit the museum. The practitioners’ booth caught her attention, and she talked with a practitioner to learn more while she waited for the students.

She was indignant when she heard about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting that targets practitioners. She signed the petition and said, “I understand. You’ve done a great job exposing the crimes of this evil regime and drawing more attention to it. I’ll tell my students to sign the petition as well, so that everyone can help stop the persecution.”

Her students soon came and took the Falun Gong flyers to read. Some gathered around practitioners to listen, while others signed the petition. One student asked how she could find a local group practice site and said she was interested in practicing Falun Gong.

A middle-aged couple from Hungary were appalled after learning about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. The man said, “This is unbelievable, horrific! This kind of thing [organ harvesting] is absolutely intolerable and cannot be allowed to continue.”

They also mentioned that Hungary experienced dictatorship so they had some knowledge of communism. The woman added, “We are all people of faith and believe in God. Many things are beyond human control. A person’s ultimate destiny is overseen and determined by God. Ultimately, all negative things will be terminated. We will always stand with you and support you.”

Beside the Concert Hall

On the afternoon of Saturday, July 26, practitioners did the exercises, talked to people about the persecution, and collected signatures near the Stockholm Concert Hall (Konserthuset). Located in the bustling city center, the Concert Hall is the venue where the annual Nobel Prize ceremony is held. In front of the concert hall is a large open-air farmers market, surrounded by shopping malls and supermarkets.

As the China-US trade talks were about to begin in Stockholm, Sweden, many people came and visited the Falun Gong practitioners’ booth. Seeing the practitioners doing the exercises  so peacefully despite the noisy crowd, many residents and tourists stopped to watch or they talked to the practitioners. After learning about the issue, people signed the petition to help stop the persecution.

Three middle-aged Asian men in the crowd stood before the display boards and carefully read them. A practitioner approached them, introducing Falun Gong and talking about the CCP’s persecution. Two of the men spoke to practitioners in English. The practitioner provided detailed answers to their questions. Finally, when the practitioner asked them if they would sign the petition against the persecution, one of the men said in Chinese, “Sorry, it is inconvenient for us to sign.” However, as they left they all accepted the English language Falun Gong materials.

A Chinese couple who were passing by the venue stopped, their eyes wide with surprise. A practitioner talked to them and explained that Falun Dafa is practiced in over 100 countries worldwide and how its main book, Zhuan Falun, has been translated into more than 50 languages and has received over 10,000 awards, resolutions of support, and letters. Yet, the CCP continues the persecution. They said they knew about the CCP-staged Tiananmen self-immolation incident, but had no time to discuss more details. Before leaving, they accepted a special Chinese edition of a truth-clarification booklet.
