(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 20 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Baishan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Kong Qingju Arrested

Ms. Kong Qingju was arrested on her way home on August 20, 2025. Her whereabouts are unknown.

2. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Jian Wangxian Held in Brainwashing Center

Ms. Jian Wangxian was arrested and taken to the Tangxunhu Brainwashing Center on August 27, 2025. Her daughter, who has a psychiatric disability, was left unattended.

3. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Qin Xiaoyan Harassed

Ms. Qin Xiaoyan was approached by Chengxi Police Station officers on the afternoon of August 26, 2025. They asked for her phone number and other people’s home addresses. They also took pictures of her.

4. [Longkou City, Shandong Province] Ms. Diao Chunfeng Released on Bail

Ms. Diao Chunfeng was arrested at home by seven officers from the Shiliang Police Station on the morning of July 17, 2025. They confiscated a picture of Falun Gong’s founder, her cell phone, computers, printers, desk calendars, printouts, and a wall decoration with the words “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”

Ms. Diao was taken to the Yantai City Lockup in the afternoon and then released in the evening after she failed the physical exam.

5. [Xishui County, Hubei Province] Ms. Zhang Qinghong Arrested

Ms. Zhang Qinghong, 61, was arrested at home by Qingquan Town Police Station officers on August 31, 2025. Her Falun Gong books were confiscated. The police ransacked her home again on September 1. The police revealed that they targeted her because she was recorded by surveillance camera putting up posters exposing the persecution.

6. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] At Least Seven Practitioners Arrested in One Day

Fu Jingchun, Zhang Pengde, Li Shengxing, Yang Shifang, Dou Chunmei, Han Xinying, Li Aihua, and several other practitioners were arrested on August 26, 2025, by officers from the Shouguang City Police Department and its subordinate police stations. Most of the practitioners have been released.

7. [Yinan County, Shandong Province] Ms. Ning Dengxiu Harassed

Ms. Ning Dengxiu, 76, was harassed at home in August 2025 by six people from the Shuanghou Town Government and 610 Office. They threatened her and tried to force her to renounce Falun Gong. They tore off a wall decoration with information about Falun Gong.

The police returned the next day and tried to arrest Ms. Ning, but she wasn’t in. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and then left.

8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Qiulian Arrested

Ms. Yang Qiulian was arrested by Xinchengzi Police Station officers some time around early September 2025. Her whereabouts are unknown.

9. [Xiong County, Hebei Province] Wang Xiaojing Detained

Wang Xiaojing, gender unknown, was arrested by officers from the Xiong County Domestic Security Division some time around early September 2025. Wang is still detained.

10. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Gu Daping Detained

Mr. Gu Daping was arrested at work by Huomo Police Station officers on August 31, 2025. He was given 10 days of detention.

11. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wu Aicong Arrested

Ms. Wu Aicong, nearly 80, talked to people about the persecution of Falun Gong on August 29, 2025. Someone reported her and she was subsequently arrested by Fenghuang Police Station officers. Her whereabouts are unknown.

12. [Benxi City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Li Xin Harassed

Ms. Li Xin, 71, was harassed at home by seven plainclothes officers from the Hedong Police Station around 6 p.m. on August 28, 2025. They seized her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, and other items. She was so terrified that she fainted. The police left without arresting her.

13. [Dujiangyan City, Sichuan Province] Liao Zhiqun Detained

Liao Zhiqun, gender unknown, was arrested by Shiyang Police Station officers on August 22, 2025 for distributing Falun Gong flyers. Liao is being held in the Dujiangyan Lockup.

14. [Yilan County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhu Deshan Released After Serving 34 Months

Mr. Zhu Deshan was released on August 23, 2025 after he finished serving a 34-month prison term.

15. [Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Zhang Rong Sentenced to Two Years and Eight Months

Ms. Zhang Rong was arrested in October 2024 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She has been held at the Bailongqiao Detention Center in Jinhua City since. Jinhua City oversees Lanxi. She was recently sentenced to two years and eight months, with a fine of 25,000 yuan.
