(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 26 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Zhao Liwei Detained

Zhao Liwei, gender unknown, was arrested in front of their home by Binhe Police Station officers on the evening of September 1, 2025. Zhao was taken to the Shenyang First Detention Center the next day.

2. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Jinrong Arrested

Ms. Li Jinrong was arrested by director Zhou Chao and officers from the Hongtun Township Police Station when she was taking to people a bus on August 31, 2025.

3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Caixia Faces Trial

Ms. Zhao Caixia’s case was submitted to the Harbin City Railroad Transportation Procuratorate by the Harbin Railroad Police Department on July 28, 2025. She was indicted in late August and is now facing trial by the Harbin Railroad Transportation Court.

4. [Tianjin] Ms. Han Shuyun Tortured in Prison

Ms. Han Shuyun was admitted to the Fifth Division of Tianjin Women’s Prison on February 10, 2023. She was not allowed to use the restroom or wash herself. The guards also forced her to stand or sit for long periods of time, deprived her of sleep, and verbally abused her. She held a hunger strike to protest and was force-fed.

5. [Yanbian City, Jilin Province] Ms. Shi Yulian Sentenced

Ms. Shi Yulian was arrested when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers in Xing’an Street Market in November 2024. She was admitted to a prison in Changchun City on August 21, 2025 to serve a 3.5-year term. Her family was informed of her prison transfer on August 29, but they still don’t have any information about her indictment, trial, or sentencing.

6. [Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Fan Mei Harassed

Ms. Fan Mei was followed by Huangzhuang Police Station officers on the morning of July 10, 2025. They ransacked her place and seized her computer, cell phones, Falun Gong books, and other items.

7. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Niu Guihua Released

Ms. Niu Guihua was arrested on August 27, 2025. She was released on the morning of September 1.

8. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

Many practitioners were stalked, photographed, and monitored by police in mid-August 2025. Over 400 police offices arrested a large number of practitioners on August 28 and took them to the Changchun City Detention Center in two buses.

9. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yang Fenglian Under Residential Surveillance

Ms. Yang Fenglian has been under residential surveillance since August 28, 2025.

10. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Zhaofeng Released

Ms. Wang Zhaofeng and another ten practitioners were arrested by Xiajiandian Police Station officers. They were forced to undergo physical exams, have their photos taken, and to give blood samples. The police extorted money from some of the practitioners. Ms. Wang was released from a local lockup on September 3, 2025.

11. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Arrested

Ms. Liu, first name unknown, was arrested in mid-August 2025.

12. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Yang Shuyuan Missing

Ms. Yang Shuyuan has been missing for over 20 years.

13. [Songming County, Yunnan Province] Four Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Xu Fengxian, Ms. Wu Guixian, and Ms. Su Lifang were harassed at home by Yangqiao Police Station officers on July 9, 2025. The officers ordered them not to talk about Falun Gong outside their homes.

Mr. Wang Zhengli was harassed at home by officer Wei Jiancheng and others from the Songyang Police Station on August 30, 2025. Mr. Wang received a harassing call from the Songyang Justice Bureau on September 2.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ten Arrested in One Day

At least ten practitioners were arrested on August 14, 2025, including Mr. Zhang Baodong, his son Mr. Zhang Rui and daughter-in-law Ms. Ma Xiaoxuan, Mr. Li Zhongxiao, Ms. Wang Fenghua, Sui Hua, Ms. Bai Xue, Zhang Jiarong, Ms. Dong Zhongxia, and Ms. Yu Changyan. Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Wang was released on August 30 after 15 days of detention.

15. [Lanxi County, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Liu Min Imprisoned

Mr. Liu Min was arrested and detained in November 2023. He was sentenced to three years in prison on June 27, 2024, and admitted to Hulan Prison a month later. His family hasn’t been allowed to visit him.
