(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 10 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. Zhao Junfang was arrested on May 28, 2025 for distributing information materials about Falun Gong. She is suffering from high blood pressure while being held in the Anshan City First Women’s Detention Center. The Lishan District Procuratorate approved her arrest on June 11, 2025 and indicted her on August 18, 2025.
Ms. Qu Rongying, who suffered from high paraplegia due to the torture she suffered in 2001, was arrested again on August 28, 2025.
Ms. Wan Xuxin, a retired teacher, was arrested at home by Chengbei Police Station officers on October 17, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Although she was released on bail after a few days, she was taken back into custody at a brainwashing center shortly after.
Ms. Wan was summoned to the Junan County Procuratorate on August 28, 2025. She was questioned and ordered to sign some documents. The prosecutor said they would transfer her case to the Linshu County Procuratorate soon.
Two officers from the Xinchengzi Street Police Station recently went to the hair salon that Ms. Lan Yulin works at. They demanded to collect her blood sample, which she refused.
Ms. Li Zhuoqing was recently arrested.
Four officers from the Beijing Road Police Station went to Ms. Chen Guifang’s shop at around 11 a.m. on August 25, 2025. They demanded that Ms. Chen go with them to the police station to provide their fingerprints. After she refused, they threatened her with impacting her grandson’s education. Finally, they forcibly carried Ms. Chen to the police car and took her to the police station, where they collected her fingerprints and blood sample.
Ms. Gao Jingjie and Yao (first name unknown) were arrested before the Chinese Communist Party’s military parade on September 3, 2025.
Ms. Yao Jiaxiu was sentenced to five years in prison and fined 20,000 yuan by Xichang City Court on August 1, 2025. She appealed with the Liangshan Prefecture Intermediate Court, which ruled to uphold her original verdict on August 25, 2025.
Ms. Liu Hongmei was arrested on August 21, 2025. She has been released on August 31, 2025.
