(Minghui.org) I began practicing Falun Dafa on May 23, 2021, and I truly felt Master’s protection. With his arrangement, I’ve walked on the cultivation path of assisting him in rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings.
Why I Came to This World
After I left China in 2018, I watched Chinese language TV programs. NTDTV and The Epoch Times were my favorite media. My curiosity was triggered when I learned that many of their staff were practitioners because I didn’t know what Dafa was about.
I found Falun Dafa’s main book Zhuan Falun online. After I read it once, I felt this book was truly wonderful. It teaches people to be good by following the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. With the chaos in the world now, I felt if each of us could be a good person by adhering to these principles, the world would be a wonderful place.
The second time I read Zhuan Falun and other Dafa books, I felt Master gave us such a great help—he gave us a ladder to heaven, a ladder that can lead us back to our true home!
One passage of the Fa deeply impressed me:
“...Dafa disciples have a tremendous responsibility: more than just one’s own Consummation, each must shoulder the mission of saving the world’s people, the sentient beings. Never in history has that been the case.” (Fa Teaching at the Minghui 10thAnniversary Conference, Collected Teachings Given Around the World Volume X)
I understood the true purpose of my coming to the world is to practice Falun Dafa, to assist Master in rectifying the Fa and saving sentient beings.
Clarifying the Truth
After the COVID 19 pandemic, many tourists from China started coming to our area. In May 2023 we began clarifying the facts about Falun Dafa to people.
I met a man in his 50s at a sightseeing spot. I greeted him, “Hello! The epidemic has gone on for so long and isn’t completely over yet. Some young people have died from the side effects of the vaccine. But more than 400 million Chinese have kept safe during this disaster. Have you heard about quitting the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to keep yourself safe?”
He said, “Do you practice Falun Dafa? I saw your materials in Hong Kong more than 10 years ago and I felt they were well said. I did not join the Party so I don’t need to quit.”
I said, “You’ve experienced good fortune. Since you learned the truth so early you must be a kind person who is saved by God. But we joined the Young Pioneers and the Youth League when we were young. Do you remember that when we joined, we raised our fists and swore to fight for communism all our lives and sacrifice our lives for the Party? Because we made such a solemn oath we belong to the CCP. We should renounce our memberships to be no longer part of it. Can I give you a pseudonym to quit the CCP? We do this to ensure our safety, eliminate the oath, and completely cut ourselves off from it. We don’t want to take the blame for all the bad things it has done, do we?” He replied, “Sure. I will remember this pseudonym and quit the CCP.”
I met a group of people, and one of them repeated the CCP’s lies and said the CCP began persecuting practitioners because they besieged the CCP’s official compound in Beijing. I told him, “This lie was fabricated by the CCP. Practitioners appealed to government officials on April 25, 1999. They did not besiege the compound. The Beijing National Council Appeal Office is next to the CCP’s official compound, so it appeared that way. The CCP lies to deceive people. Why did practitioners go to Beijing to appeal? Because Tianjin City police officers beat and arrested practitioners and refused to release them, claiming that they didn’t have the authority to release them. They told the other practitioners to go to Beijing and appeal for their release. So those practitioners went to Beijing to appeal. They did it very peacefully. The former Premier received a few representatives and agreed to release the practitioners. However, when the former CCP leader Jiang Zemin realized that 100 million people practiced Dafa, he was jealous and afraid. He insisted on carrying out the persecution even though the other six members of the Standing Committee were against it. The CCP fabricated lies as an excuse to initiate the persecution.”
Seeing that he was silent, I continued, “Look at the June 4th massacre. The university students simply hoped for national reform and change for the better. But the CCP used troops, tanks, and machine guns to suppress the unarmed students. I was a university student in Beijing at that time. I heard gunfire that night and knew students were killed. When I moved abroad I learned that nearly 10,000 students were killed! How evil the CCP is! Weren’t those university students innocent?”
Lies Fabricated by the CCP
Some nodded. Then I talked about the “Self-Immolation: An Elaborate Hoax”, and said it was a lie fabricated by the CCP for the sake of persecuting Dafa. The live organ harvesting impacts the entire society. The CCP has done so many bad things and angered Heaven.
They all agreed. Then three agreed to use a pseudonym to quit the CCP. I told them: Falun Dafa is practiced in more than 100 countries around the world. I asked them to remember and say: “Falun Dafa is wonderful! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is wonderful!” And Heaven would safeguard them. They kept thanking me. One bowed to me. I asked them to thank my Master Mr. Li Hongzhi. They learned the truth and were saved by Master. I felt so happy that they learned the truth and chose a bright future for themselves.
I’ve talked to people about Falun Dafa at the sightseeing spots for nearly two years, and I run into all kinds of people. Soon after some people learned the truth, they chose to quit the CCP; some only listened but did not say anything. I wished them a good trip, and I hope they have another opportunity and choose a bright future for themselves.
I occasionally meet people who refuse to listen and swear at me. In the beginning, many people were like that, but I gradually understood that the process of my clarifying the facts to people is like walking through society. I encounter all kinds of people. The process offers me opportunities to continually cultivate and elevate myself. Gradually, fewer people swore at me. My mindset also underwent some changes. I used to be upset when people swore at me. I later realized that as a practitioner, one’s heart should not be moved—instead I should be tolerant. I deeply sympathized with them because they were deceived by the CCP’s lies.
I often thought: Everyone has a different role in this human world. But we practitioners are the happiest beings. However, some people work for the CCP police, the Procuratorate or the judicial system in China. They play that kind of role, so we need to use our kindness to wake them up, as they are the people who came down to the human world and are waiting to be saved. When I realized this, my mindset when clarifying the facts changed. I also thought: I must cultivate myself well. So the energy field I carry dismantles the evil factors controlling people and they wake up.
Eliminating Attachments
One day I was at a sightseeing spot for more than six hours. My heel started hurting during the last hour, but I endured the pain and persevered. This was the first time I experienced physical discomfort. I thought: I didn’t walk much today. When I returned home, I realized that this thought was wrong. Because I acknowledged it, this notion was strengthened by my thought.
As a practitioner, nothing we experience is accidental.
I suddenly remembered what Master said:
“I found him to be very good and increased his tribulations a little bit so that he could quickly repay karma...” (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun)
Didn’t this happen because Master offered me an opportunity to quickly pay off my karma? Then I realized that my thoughts at that time were solely based on my own standpoint and were selfish. These Chinese tourists were arranged by Master to come here to listen to the truth, but they refused to listen. What will become of them and their worlds?
Thinking of this, I burst into tears. I didn’t do what I was supposed to do. I really regretted it. I hope Master could give those sentient beings another chance. I hope they still have an opportunity to listen to the truth about Falun Dafa and the persecution. I also hope that I do better next time.
Sightseeing Spots
Another group was scheduled to visit the sightseeing spot, so after we did the exercises that morning, we waited for them to arrive. They were supposed to arrive at 12:30 p.m., but did not arrive until 3:00 p.m. I talked to a few people, but none of them agreed to quit the CCP. This was unusual.
I thought: Was I focused on how many people I helped quit the CCP? I silently told Master: I just hope they learn the truth, I don’t care how many of those would agree to quit.
Then another bus came. The tour guide led them out of the parking lot towards the park, and I couldn’t catch up with them. I also felt tired. I left home at 9:30 a.m. and it was already 6 p.m. I only had a piece of pineapple cake and nothing else to eat. I thought: I’ll just wait here for them to come back.
After waiting for another 10 minutes I thought: when they come back, I could talk to a lot of them, but I won't have the time to help them quit the CCP one by one. They came here because Master arranged for them to listen to the truth. So I quickly got on the bicycle and waited for them at the park entrance.
I met a group of elderly Chinese tourists trying to cross the street. I said, “You should go over there and wait for the traffic light to turn red. Though it’s a little roundabout, it will be safer.” So some joined me at the crosswalk. One of them agreed with what I said. I told him about Dafa. He happily agreed to quit the CCP and kept thanking me. One elderly man walking in front of us slowed down and listened. I quickly walked closer to him and clarified the truth to him. He also agreed to quit.
Another elderly man saw that these two men kept thanking me, so he came closer to listen to what I was saying. He decided to quit as well. I saw some people were behind me, but I didn’t have time to talk to them about quitting the CCP. I talked to people who were waiting to get on the bus about the “Self-Immolation Hoax on Tiananmen Square”, that Falun Dafa is practiced around the world, and why one needs to quit the CCP to ensure safety. I thought: This time they heard the truth, and next time, they’ll have the opportunity to quit. Many people thanked me before they got on the bus. I said, “Please thank my Master Mr. Li Hongzhi!”
It was almost 7 p.m. by the time I got home. I thought: Nothing was accidental. Everything was arranged by Master. I made the breakthrough and accomplished what I should. Even though I was tired, I was truly happy. I felt grateful that Master gave me another opportunity to cultivate while I clarified the truth about the persecution.
I’ve clarified the facts in this park for nearly two years. During my cultivation path in the past four years, although I was very busy every day, I was filled with joy. Dafa showed me why I came to this world. I truly feel that Master is by my side and looks after us practitioners. I feel grateful to practice Falun Dafa and for Master’s saving grace. I must continue to cultivate diligently, cultivate myself well, assist Master in the Fa rectification, accomplish my mission and follow Master to return home!
