(Minghui.org) During a truth-clarification event, the following happened: a man stood near the area where we set up our display and tried to interfere with us by shouting loudly in an attempt to distract people. It was obvious that his behavior was not that of a normal person. He urged people not to take the informational materials, and used rude expressions and vulgar words. He even “called upon” God to strike us with lightening and burn us to ashes.
We ignored him and didn’t even look at him. Instead we sent righteous thoughts to dissolve the evil factors that were controlling him and using him as a tool for their purposes. The more he shouted, the more people came to ask for leaflets. As a result, his flow of words became incoherent, and he seemed dizzy, unable to remember how to continue his sentences.
We continued to hand out leaflets and talk to passersby who were interested in the information. Since his appeals to people to not take leaflets from us had no effect, he aggressively grabbed a leaflet from a girl’s hands, tore it up, and threw it on the ground. The situation was becoming tragic and comical – comical for us and tragic for him – and so we decided to adopt another course of action—we called the police. Two uniformed law enforcement officers came and talked to him. The man stopped shouting and left.
We continued to send righteous thoughts for him and said: “Please apologize for your behavior, and ask for forgiveness.” He returned a few minutes later and was a completely different person—reasonable, calm, and clear-headed. He said he made a mistake and apologized to each practitioner. He accompanied his apology with a handshake. He said he read the leaflet and understood why we were there. We showed him the Falun Dafa books and the picture of Master. The now humble man said, “Can I stay with you for a while to listen and watch? This time I won’t interfere with you.”
When he left, he asked if he could come back if he had any questions, and we said yes.
While reflecting on what happened that day we’d like to share to the following quotes from Master:
“Amidst a troubled world and when cosmic laws are in disarray, Dafa disciples are acting out of compassion to save lives, which of course include those within their own domains. All beings will certainly be given chances as we go about offering salvation, with some of them being given prolonged chances. During the process, some beings will indeed turn around and become good…” (“On the Responses to the Piece About Assistant Souls” )
With gratitude and awareness of our enormous responsibilities, we will end with Master’s words from the same commentary:
“Study the Fa well, do the three things well, and you will have all that you need.” (“On the Responses to the Piece About Assistant Souls” )
