(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 8 provinces, where at least 22 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Five Practitioners Detained

Ms. Wu Aicong, nearly 80, was arrested by officers from the Fangzi District Domestic Security Division on August 29, 2025. Ms. Wang Sumei was arrested on September 1, 2025. Ms. Yan and two other elderly practitioners were arrested by officers from the Fangzi District Domestic Security Division and the Fenghuang Police Station on September 3, 2025. The five practitioners are held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

2. [Chengde County, Hebei Province] Ms. Chen Fengxia Arrested

Ms. Chen Fengxia was arrested on a city bus by officers from the Shidongzigou Police Station and Chengde County Police Department at noon on September 11, 2025. The police said that they arrested her because her one-year bail had expired.

3. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Guo Baoshi and Ms. Zu Liming Detained

Mr. Guo Baoshi and Ms. Zu Liming were arrested on September 6, 2025. They are currently held in the Shenyang City First Detention Center.

4. [Anshun City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Huang Mingying Detained

Ms. Huang Mingying was arrested by officers including Qian Sha from the Xixiu District Domestic Security Division on August 22, 2025. Her home was ransacked. She was first held in a brainwashing center for 14 days and then transferred to the Anshun City Second Detention Center on September 5, 2025 on criminal detention.

5. [Chongqing] Mr. Wang Xingkai Persecuted

Mr. Wang Xingkai, 75, used to work at the Kaizhou District Vocational Education Center. He was arrested at home by five officers on August 15, 2009 and sentenced to six years in prison in December 2010.

Mr. Wang’s pension has been suspended since early 2020. He recently received a notice from the Kaizhou District Social Insurance Affairs Center, demanding him to return the pension that he received during his imprisonment, totaling 258,391 yuan .

6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Tian Liping Sentenced to Three Years in Prison

Ms. Tian Liping was arrested in March 2024 for distributing Falun Gong information materials and detained in the Zaohua Detention Center. It was recently confirmed by Minghui.org that she had been sentenced to three years in prison.

7. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Mr. Liu Zhaohong Arrested

Mr. Liu Zhaohong was arrested in May 2025.

8. [Longyao County, Hebei Province] Mr. Guo Zhanjun Detained

Mr. Guo Zhanjun was reported for spraying information about Falun Gong in a public place in Beijing. He was arrested by officers from both Beijing and Langfang City, Hebei Province on the afternoon of August 29, 2025. He is currently held in the Fangshan District Detention Center.

9. [Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Wang Genying Detained

Ms. Wang Genying was arrested by Huangdai Town Police Station officers, while on her way home on the evening of September 1, 2025. She was detained for seven days and released on September 8, 2025.

10. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Xiaonan Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiaonan was arrested by officers from Shenshuiwan Police Station on September 10, 2025. She has been released.

11. [Urumqi City, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region] Large Scale Harassments of Local Practitioners

October 1, 2025 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region and the authorities have organized grand celebrations. The Urumqi City Police Department deployed a large number of officers to harass local Falun Gong practitioners and their family members, by home visits, phone calls, and surveillance.

Among the harassed practitioners, Ms. Luo Chunmei and Ms. Pan Xiuhua have been repeatedly arrested and had their homes ransacked in recently years. Ms. Pan has also served several prison terms and tortured for upholding her faith.

12. [Dehui City, Jilin Province] Many Practitioners Arrested

Many practitioners were arrested before the Chinese Communist Party’s military parade on September 3, 2025.

13. [Guan County, Shandong Province] Mr. Li Hailiang Detained

Mr. Li Hailiang was detained for one month and released on September 8, 2025.

14. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] A Female Practitioner Arrested

A female elderly practitioner was arrested. Three officers took the practitioner to her home on the morning of September 10, 2025. They confiscated all her Falun Gong books, the photo of Falun Gong’s founder, Falun Gong materials, computer and printer.

15. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhao Caixia Tried

Ms. Zhao was arrested on April 25, 2025. Her case was submitted to the Harbin Railway Transportation Procuratorate in July 2025. The prosecutor indicted her and moved her case to the Harbin Railway Transportation Court in late August 2025. She was scheduled to stand trial on September 16, 2025.
