(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held events to promote the practice and raise public awareness about the ongoing persecution in China in various cities in France. On August 30, 2025, practitioners introduced the health benefits of the practice to people in Nantes, Rouen, and Colmar. They demonstrated the five meditative exercises and collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 26-year persecution of Falun Dafa.

Falun Dafa practitioners held activities to introduce Falun Dafa to people in Nantes in western France on August 30, 2025.

Practitioners have regularly held such activities in Nantes for years. On Saturday, they gathered at Place Royale and handed out flyers to passersby. They described the persecution that practitioners in China faced after it began. After learning about the brutal tactics, many signed the petition calling for an end to it.

Nantes is a popular destination for tourists. It offers free public transportation on weekends, which brings people to the city center. Place Royale was bustling with trams arriving every 30 minutes, bringing more visitors. Many of the tourists stopped by the practitioners’ booth to read the banners and posters. Some went directly to sign the petition.

A surgical nurse was particularly interested in the issue of forced organ harvesting from living practitioners incarcerated for refusing to renounce their faith. She signed the petition that will be submitted to the G7+7 countries. The G7 countries include the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, and the United Kingdom, while the +7 countries include Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan.

When she mentioned she was going through a difficult time, a practitioner told her to remember “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance is good.” She nodded and thanked the practitioner, saying that kindness and forgiveness are important to her.

A man from China, carrying his young child on his bike, parked in front of the booth and talked to the practitioners. A practitioner explained to him that it is important for Chinese people to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations, to distance themselves from the crimes the CCP has committed, and to have a good future. She asked the man to share this message with his family and friends so everyone can stay safe. He listened carefully and replied, “You are a group of benevolent people.” He accepted the flyers and said he would read them when he got home.

A young girl called her mother in Nice as soon as she saw the Falun Dafa banners. After signing the petition, she told the practitioners that her mother is a human rights activist who supports their efforts to end the persecution. The practitioners gave her a copy of the French version of the Minghui Report: The 20-Year Persecution of Falun Gong in China to pass to her mother, which made her very happy.

A man and his nine-year-old son stopped by the booth. After hearing about the persecution and the atrocity of live organ harvesting, the man was stunned and emotional. He told the practitioners, “Thank you for doing this. It’s important to tell people that such tragic events are happening.”

One woman hesitated to sign the petition because she felt that an issue happening so far away had nothing to do with her. A practitioner explained that the persecution is a crime against humanity and should concern everyone. “We are not Chinese, and we practice the same beliefs as those in China, yet they are persecuted, tortured, or even killed for their organs. We cannot keep silent,” the practitioner said. The woman then agreed to sign the petition and told the practitioner, “You are doing a great job, and what you do is wonderful. Thank you.”

Another woman headed straight to the petition and signed her name. When a practitioner informed her that the CCP is systematically harvesting organs from living practitioners, she said she wasn’t surprised. She believes that communism is the embodiment of evil and must be eradicated.

A practitioner explained to three young women the hardship Chinese practitioners have been experiencing since the persecution began in July 1999. One of them said she was very grateful for the information because she would be traveling to China soon. She said she would stay alert when she arrived there. All three of them signed the petition.

A man from Comores said he was shocked and saddened to hear that practitioners often died in excruciating pain when their organs were forcibly taken from them. “This is barbaric and terrible. How could such a thing still exist in this world?” he said. Without hesitation, he signed the petition. He said that people must take action to end the atrocity and thanked the practitioners for dedicating their time to saving lives.

On the same day, practitioners held similar activities at Place de la Cathédral in Rouen. They introduced Falun Dafa to passersby and condemned the ongoing persecution in China. Many stopped to learn more about the facts of the persecution. Some were in disbelief after hearing about the cruelties inflicted on practitioners in China. They signed the petition demanding an immediate end to live organ harvesting.

Beauvais is a retired doctor. After learning about the persecution, he signed the petition and took a pamphlet with him.

A retired man who practiced Taoism watched practitioners doing the Falun Dafa exercises. He said that he could feel positive energy. The practitioners explained the purpose of each exercise to him.

Many people took the flyers, thanking the practitioners. They said they would share the information with others and encouraged the practitioners to keep up their efforts. Some also expressed an interest in learning the practice.

Falun Dafa practitioners introduced the practice on Quai de la Sinn, a street in Colmar, France.

The practitioners in Colmar introduced the practice on Quai de la Sinn, a street that runs alongside the Sinn waterway. They demonstrated the exercises, raised awareness about the persecution, and collected signatures on the petition to end the persecution.
