(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 10 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 13 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
Ms. An Jingtao was arrested by Beijuzhai Police Station officers on May 10, 2025. She was detained for a month and released on bail in June 2025, after posting a 10,000-yuan bond. The police arrested her again on December 15, 2025. She has since been detained and is now facing prosecution.
Ms. Wang Shupei was arrested on December 29, 2025, for filing a complaint against the guards at Shandong Province Women’s Prison. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She is currently being held in the Yantai Detention Center.
Ms. Yang Aizhi was arrested and is currently being held in the Jiujiang City Detention Center.
Several officers from the Qingshui Town Police Station broke into Ms. Yao Ailing’s home at 5 a.m. on January 4, 2026. Accusing her of posting information about Falun Gong, they ransacked her place and confiscated dozens of Falun Gong books, two photos of Falun Gong’s founder, dozens of Minghui Weekly publications, and a media player. They videorecorded the entire process. Before leaving, they ordered her to report to the police station in the evening, and threatened to arrest her if she didn’t show up.
Ms. Wang Aiying’s father was harassed at home by officers including Niu Haipeng from the Caiyuanji Township Police Station on the evening of January 5, 2025. The police confiscated three media players and questioned him about Ms. Wang’s whereabouts and cell phone number.
Ms. Yao Lanzhi and Xiangmei (last name unknown) were arrested by Donggucheng Town Police Station officers on December 24, 2025, after being reported for talking to people about Falun Gong. One of them was released in the evening and the other was detained for five days.
Ms. Wang Junrui, 67, was arrested on December 30, 2025. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. She was detained for eight days and released on January 6, 2026.
Ms. Yu Shoufen is scheduled to be released from prison on February 8, 2026, after four years of imprisonment.
Ms. Wang Yanru was arrested on December 15, 2025, and detained for 15 days. The police confiscated 300 yuan in cash from her during the arrest.
Ms. Li Chunhuan was released from prison on December 27, 2025, after serving a four-year term.
Ms. Ma Yanping, 66, was arrested by Zhengliang Police Station officers on September 19, 2025, for talking to people about Falun Gong at a night market. While arresting her, the plainclothes officers held her hands behind her back, pressing against her back with a leg and forcing her to kneel on one leg.
After taking Ms. Ma to the police station, the officers forcibly removed her coat, and photographed her against her will. She was then locked in an interrogation room and not allowed to use the restroom. Soon after, she experienced a severe heart condition. She trembled all over and collapsed to the ground. She was then taken to the emergency room for resuscitation. The next afternoon, she was returned to the police station, then transferred to a lockup for 15 days. The police harassed her again on November 25, 2025.
