(Minghui.org) Fifteen years ago, when my wife was 45, she developed a rare medical condition that affected her face. It began with a single brownish-green pea-sized bump, which quickly multiplied, spreading rapidly.

Within a year, her entire face, including her nose, became covered in a thick layer of a brownish substance that made her almost unrecognizable, with only her eyes visible. She could still eat, but her swollen face was terrifying. She also developed severe constipation, only passing stools once a week. Because of her condition, she couldn’t go out during the day and would only venture out after 9 p.m. when fewer people were around.

My wife went to a dermatology clinic, but they were unable to diagnose the problem. She tried countless Chinese and Western medicines, but none were effective. She also tried many folk remedies and even prayed at temples, but nothing worked. We then sought help at Huaxi Hospital in the provincial capital. Experts and professors consulted over her case several times, but we eventually exhausted our finances. Finally, the experts and professors said, “We’ve never seen this disease before, and we can’t cure it. Go home and buy her whatever she wants to eat.”

They meant there was no point in further treatment; she was just waiting to die. My heart was broken, and an overwhelming sadness engulfed me. What hope could there be when life had reached this point? Her temper worsened, and she became quick to anger, but deep down, she still wanted to live. I was determined to sell our house if necessary to get her the care she needed.

As we were faced with a life-or-death situation, I suddenly recalled what Falun Gong practitioners had shared with us, that practicing Falun Dafa can cure incurable diseases, and many suffering from terminal illnesses have recovered. I had also read truth-clarifying materials and felt it was worth a try. So I borrowed copy of Zhuan Falun for my wife, and she finished reading it in three days.

Around 3 a.m., my wife got up to use the bathroom. When she looked in the mirror, she noticed the swelling on her face had disappeared. Overjoyed, she woke me up and exclaimed, “Look, the swelling on my face is gone! That’s incredible! Just reading a book can cure illness!”

My wife began practicing Falun Dafa, and before long, the brownish layer on her face began to peel off on its own. After about two or three months, the bumps on her face diminished and faded in color. In six months, her skin had completely returned to normal. Along with this, her constipation also disappeared. She repeatedly said, “Thank you, Master, for saving my life and for saving our family! Truly, it’s a divine miracle!”

From then on, my wife’s bad temper was a thing of the past. Her face was often filled with joy, and her health steadily improved. She said, “I listen to Master’s teachings and strive to be a good person of high moral character. When conflicts arise, I look for my own shortcomings first. I strive to be genuine, kind, and practice patience. I am good to my parents, siblings, and neighbors.”

My wife and I work as gatekeepers in our neighborhood. The pay is modest, but the job isn’t strenuous. My wife often smiles as she carries groceries and items for the elderly residents and helps homeowners move furniture and appliances—all without charging a penny.

When we find money in the complex, we write it on the chalkboard so the owner can claim it. When we find a cell phone outside, we call the owner to return it. Residents often give us their old TVs, washing machines, refrigerators, furniture, clothes, and more. But whatever we earn from selling these items, my wife gives back to the owners in full. They always say, “You two are so kind! Good deeds will be rewarded!” All the residents respect us.

However, last year, my wife was arrested, and our home was ransacked for practicing Falun Dafa. In September, she was sentenced to three years and two months in a forced labor camp, and a hefty fine of 20,000 yuan was imposed on our family.

The Chinese Communist Party’s judicial system treats good people as criminals, fabricating false cases, an act that defies divine justice! When Falun Dafa is vindicated in the future, all those involved in persecuting practitioners will face judgment and be held accountable.
