(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 13 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shouguang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Facing Trial

Mr. Li Shengxing, Sun Fumei, gender unknown, and Fu Jingchun, gender unknown, were arrested on August 26, 2025, by Shouguang City Police Department officers. Mr. Li and Fu are being held in Shouguang City Detention Center, while Sun in Weifang City Detention Center. Their trial was scheduled for January 22, 2026, in Shouguang City Court.

2. [Zhuzhou City, Hunan Province] Trial Scheduled for Three Practitioners

Ms. Liu Chunqin, Mr. Li Qingjun, and Zheng Qiong, gender unknown, were scheduled to appear in Lusong District Court on January 23, 2026.

3. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Gao Zuokui Faces Trial

Mr. Gao Zuokui is scheduled to stand trial in Lianshan District Court on February 3, 2026.

4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Kong Gang Formally Arrested

Mr. Kong Gang was arrested in December 2025. He is being held in the Sujiatun Detention Center and denied family visits. His sister was summoned to the Jiefanglu Police Station to sign his detention notice on January 4, 2026. She was called again on January 16 to sign the arrest notice.

5. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Ms. Chen Lamei Detained

Ms. Chen Lamei was arrested at her parents' home on December 19, 2025. She was detained in the Wuhan City First Lockup for 10 days, and then transferred to the Xianning City Detention Center. The police threatened to sentence her to a year in prison.

6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Lyu Yanhui and Husband Arrested

Ms. Lyu Yanhui and her husband were arrested at home. She is being held in the Weifang City Detention Center.

7. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Jun Detained

Ms. Zhang Jun was arrested on January 7, 2026, by Beidawangzhuang Police Station officers. Her home was ransacked. She was released from the Weifang City Detention Center on January 15.

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Sun Jianzhong Harassed

Mr. Sun Jianzhong was harassed at home on January 14, 2026, by neighborhood committee staffers. They tried to force him to sign documents and attempted to take pictures of him. He refused, but his wife signed the documents on his behalf.

9. [Weihai City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guangzhi Arrested

Mr. Li Guangzhi was arrested on January 9, 2024, by officers from the Haicheng City Police Brigade and the Teng’ao Police Department. His home was ransacked. He was released at night.

10. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Xu Huiqin Harassed

Ms. Xu Huiqin was harassed at home on January 13, 2026, by officers from the Wutu Police Station. They searched her home and seized her personal items.

11. [Yuanjiang City, Hunan Province] Ms. Wang Caiyun Missing

Ms. Wang Caiyun has been missing since December 26, 2025.

12. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Sujie Forced to Live Away from Home

Ms. Zhang Sujie was harassed at home on June 3, 2025, by a Qidashan Community clerk and a police officer. Upon seeing a Falun Gong book on a desk, they called the Gaoxin District Domestic Security Division. Several officers came shortly after and ransacked the place, seizing her Falun Gong books and many other items.

The police took Ms. Zhang to the Qidashan Police Station and then to the Anshan City Women’s Detention Center. During the required physical exam, she felt dizzy and her blood pressure was extremely high. She was sent to the hospital for resuscitation and then released under house arrest. The police attempted to arrest her again three months later. To avoid persecution, she was forced to live away from home.

13. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Jiang Jiayu Harassed

Ms. Jiang Jiayu, 70, was harassed at home on November 19, 2025, by four people from the Xiaogan Town Police Station and Xiaogan Street Committee. They intimidated her and questioned her about whether she was still practicing Falun Gong.
