(Minghui.org) I drive a semi-trailer truck for a freight company. A young man named Caiji was being taught how to drive a a big truck by his coworker Dihui. I had clarified the truth to both of them while we waited for goods to be loaded on our trucks and had advised them to quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliated organizations. Caiji had been learning from Dihui for a few days, but then Dihui stopped coming and maybe did not want to teach Caiji anymore. Caiji’s father asked me to teach him to drive, and I agreed.
People around me know that I practice Falun Dafa, so I need to have the compassion and selfless demeanor of a practitioner. But teaching Caiji to drive a truck was a big deal because it was a company-owned vehicle and I had no right to train someone. If there was an accident, it would be my responsibility. Moreover, we are on a high plateau with only mountain roads and very steep grades. I broke away from conventional thinking and asked Master for help to make these lessons a success.
I first taught Caiji to drive an empty truck. I noted he had poor basic skills. He had learned to drive an automatic light truck the year before, but this trailer truck had a manual 12-speed transmission and required frequent gear changes. He couldn’t find the right gears, and he wasn’t good at coordinating the clutch and the accelerator, so his driving was jerky. I told him to press the accelerator gradually and pause briefly when lifting the clutch until it was engaged, and the truck would move forward smoothly. I explained that the gears were directly opposite each other, and he wouldn’t miss a gear or grind the gears if he pulled the lever straight down. He shouldn’t be fumbling around in neutral. I had to teach him almost from scratch, including how to drive uphill from a standstill, how to drive heavy vehicles, and how to reverse with a loaded trailer.
In about two weeks, Caiji had learned how to drive my truck, so I added him to the company rota. When he and I were driving separate trucks to pick up goods, the person issuing the invoices smiled and said, “The apprentice has graduated, and you’ve taught him well!”
The company’s champion driver (the one who made the most deliveries) told me, “That young man is lucky. He’s already making money.” The champion also told me that Caiji’s father had approached him to teach Caiji, but he had declined to help. Caiji told me that his father had asked other drivers, but none of them would take him on. Because of this experience, I left a very good impression on Caiji’s family and was able to clarify the truth to his wife, parents, grandfather, and neighbors and help them renounce their memberships in the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
I clarified the truth at every opportunity, like when I gave someone a ride. I talked to people when I was having the truck washed, and I talked to other drivers and the company management. A driver named Bagui was eating in a restaurant when the owner’s wife asked him about me. She had a good impression of me because I had helped her quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations and had told her the principles of being a good person.
Bagui turned on his walkie-talkie radio and said, “Falun Gong has come here.” This caused a stir among the other drivers. One of them said, “Even when you’re just eating a bowl of noodles, you’re still promoting Falun Dafa.” Another driver said, “The Buddha’s light shines everywhere.” Another driver said, “You’re so brave that you promote it wherever you go.”
Actually, I’ve talked to many other people as well, including barbers, construction workers, restaurant owners, elderly men, young police officers, and so on. I believe that being able to persuade them to quit the CCP is all due to Master’s compassionate blessings.
Bagui, whose dormitory is next to mine, has benefited the most. I often tell him about traditional culture and the wonders of Dafa. Another driver said to Bagui, “That huge log that rolled down the mountain just missed you.” Bagui responded using his walkie-talkie, “I am protected by divine beings.”
