(Minghui.org) I’m 76 years old, but if I didn’t tell you, you’d probably think I was in my 60s. You might ask what my secret is to looking so young. I’d like to tell you my story.
July 1997 was the turning point in my life. Prior to that, my coworkers knew I had all kinds of ailments. I often visited my work clinic, as well as hospitals in the area and I applied for reimbursement for my medical expenses. I took many types of medications and injections, and the doctors were worried about me if I didn’t show up for an appointment. I was so weak that I couldn’t do any housework. Life was difficult, and I felt hopeless.
I underwent a miraculous transformation after I began practicing Falun Dafa.My illnesses disappeared within a month of learning the practice. When I stopped going to the clinic, the doctor was concerned and inquired about me.
When he saw me, he asked, “Where have you been?” I replied, “I’ve begun practicing Falun Dafa, and my illnesses are gone. I don’t need to see you anymore!”
He was astonished and thought it was incredible. He told my story to my coworkers when they came for appointments and encouraged them to get Dafa books from me. More than 10 of my coworkers learned the practice and became healthy.
Not only does Falun Dafa resolve illnesses, it teaches practitioners how to improve their character. Those who practice with sincerity will become youthful and healthy, and that is my secret to looking young. Dafa is a treasure that brings boundless benefits to one’s mind and body. The practice is effective as long as one genuinely follows the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
My husband is another example of how Dafa benefits people. He fell and fractured his leg, and the doctor inserted six pins into the bone. He lay immobile at the foot of the kang (a brick-heated bed), while my elderly mother-in-law lay at the head of the kang.
I had begun practicing Falun Dafa by then and I was full of energy. I was patient and liked helping others. Since I worked during the day, I placed diapers under them. They then tossed the diapers out the window when they were soiled.
I washed the diapers when I returned and hung them all over the courtyard. My neighbors asked me, “Aren’t you tired? You don’t seem to mind and are always happy. I wouldn’t be able to do what you do.”
My husband was a heavy smoker, and smoked three packs every two days. He also drank a bottle of liquor with each meal. It was drinking that led to his fall and injury. Seeing my transformation after I learned the practice, he asked if he could read Zhuan Falun. An amazing thing happened after he finished reading it: his legs were fine.
We couldn’t afford to have the pins removed at the hospital, so we asked a doctor we knew to come to our home. After removing the pins, the doctor told us not to take off the bandages. But less than 12 hours later, by early morning, my husband called me, “Come here. Check this out!”
I replied, “The doctor said not to touch the bandages, and there’s still blood on them.”
He insisted that I look. To our astonishment, all six screw holes in his leg had completely closed, and the skin was smooth. We were amazed and overjoyed! Dafa is wonderful! Truly miraculous!
The doctor said my husband’s leg would not completely heal, and he might walk with a limp. Yet, he was fine. Isn’t that amazing? He also quit smoking and drinking, and no longer craved cigarettes or alcohol.
I experienced the wonders of Falun Dafa, and I know it’s precious. I have little education, and I can’t read all the Chinese characters in Zhuan Falun. But Dafa has given me wisdom, as well as boundless energy. I can now use a computer to browse online and submit the statements from people who renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I’m also very good when it comes to talking to people about Falun Dafa and the persecution.
My neighbors tell me, “You’re the oldest person around here, but you can walk all day, and you don’t get tired. We envy you!” How could anyone not envy me? Master takes care of practitioners, and we are the most fortunate people!
Everything I possess is bestowed by our compassionate and magnificent Master. Dafa showed me the real purpose of life, and I no longer feel lost. I hope more people will come to understand the facts about Dafa and receive blessings!
