(Minghui.org) While people around the world celebrate the arrival of the New Year, thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners are illegally detained in China, due to their belief in Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, resulting in many broken families.
On New Year’s eve, December 31, Falun Dafa practitioners in Japan displayed banners and held peaceful protests in front of the Chinese consulates in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Sapporo and called on the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to immediately end the persecution of Falun Dafa, which has been going on for the past 26 years. They also demanded that the CCP stop harvesting organs from Falun Dafa prisoners of conscience and to unconditionally release all the illegally detained Falun Dafa practitioners. The practitioners also hope that their actions can raise the international community’s awareness about this matter so that they can join them in their efforts to stop the persecution.
Peaceful Protest in Front of the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo
Practitioners displayed banners and held a peaceful protest in front of the Chinese Embassy in Tokyo.
On the night of December 31, Falun Dafa practitioners in the Kanto region displayed banners with the messages: “Falun Dafa Is Good” and “Heaven Will End the CCP” in front of the Chinese Embassy to protest the CCP’s illegal persecution.
Ms. Thai, said, “My five illnesses disappeared after I began practicing Falun Dafa, and now my children and family have begun practicing. However, practitioners in China are being persecuted and some have had their organs harvested while they are still alive. This is utterly despicable.
“I’m here because I want to join practitioners around the world to call on the CCP to immediately end the persecution of Falun Dafa and the forced organ harvesting crimes.”

Practitioners did the exercises and displayed banners on the night of December 31 in front of the Chinese Consulate in Osaka and in Nagoya. The events lasted until 1 a.m. Practitioners held a peaceful petition in front of the Chinese Consulate in Sapporo on the afternoon of December 31, to call on the CCP to end the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Ms. Hue said, “The persecution directed at Falun Dafa practitioners is still going on. Many practitioners are brutally beaten and illegally detained at detention facilities. This persecution has continued for 26 years. I am here today to expose the crimes the Chinese government has committed and to call for an immediate end to this persecution. I also hope that the international community and international organizations will join us, condemn these human rights violations and express their concern in regards to these acts by the CCP, which seriously infringe on human rights.”
