(Minghui.org) I would like to share a few short stories from my experiences in clarifying the truth and seeing how eagerly people are awaiting salvation. As we study the Fa well, let us set aside our human notions and attachments and save those we are meant to save.
Practitioner Lin and I went to a village one day in March to assess road conditions and count households, as we were planning to return that evening to distribute Falun Dafa informational materials. We also left materials at the few scattered households in the nearby mountain ravines. On our way back on our motorcycles after finishing the distribution, a sudden gust of wind blew my hat off. I quickly stopped the motorcycle and ran back to retrieve it.
The hat landed at the feet of a farmer who picked it up and handed it to me when I reached him. I thought, “Isn’t this someone with a predestined connection?” After taking the hat and thanking him, I asked, “Were you out working? Let me share some good news with you. Have you heard about quitting the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) for safety and peace?” He told me he had received Falun Dafa materials before, but didn’t read them.
Lin approached and joined the conversation. We explained the facts about Falun Dafa, and covered the reasons for quittng, the nature of the Communist Party, and what Falun Dafa is. Once he understood, he said he was happy to quit the Young Pioneers (one of the CCP’s youth organizations) he had once joined. I asked for his surname and gave him a nickname to quit. He truly had a predestined connection.
One morning in the fall of 2025, Lin and I traveled to a mountain village about 30 miles (48 kilometers) away. We began distributing informational flyers, moving from the village’s inner ravine toward its entrance. We handed the materials to each person we encountered and shared the facts about Dafa. When we didn’t see anyone, we left a flyer at each resident’s front gate.
As we reached the village entrance, Lin went to place the beautifully designed truth materials at a household gate. While I waited by the roadside, a tall elderly woman carrying firewood called out to me from a distance, “Who are you? What are you putting at my gate? I thought my two daughters had come home to visit me.”
I replied, “Auntie, we’ve brought blessings to your family—these materials provide information about Falun Dafa. Whoever reads them will be blessed.” She said she couldn’t read, so I said, “Then just keep them in a safe place for when your children come home. Show them the materials so they, too, can choose a bright future.”
She repeated, “Good, good, good.” I also gave her a beautiful gourd-shaped amulet and briefly explained that Falun Dafa is a cultivation practice based on Buddha Fa. I told her that whenever she felt unwell or faced difficulties, sincerely reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” would certainly help her.
By then, Lin had joined us. The elderly woman repeated, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” along with us. Then, she invited us to her home, urging us to come in and sit for a while. She kept repeating, “It really is like my two daughters coming home, it really is like my two daughters coming home.” After thanking her for her kindness, Lin and I remarked with deep emotion, that the situation truly illustrated Master’s poem:
“...Quiet down you mind and hear the truthYou’ve waited millennia for these words...”(“Talking of Karmic Bonds,” Hong Yin III)
A few days ago, I accompanied my husband to the city for his medical appointment. While we waited to see the doctor, a woman in the row ahead of us started talking to us. She asked about the specialist’s reputation, whether Traditional Chinese Medicine had been effective, and described the intense suffering caused by her illness. I felt that she must be someone destined to learn about Falun Dafa.
After a short while, my husband mentioned that he wanted to walk the corridor for a bit. I used the time to chat with the woman and asked what health issues she was facing. She explained that she had slept poorly for over a decade and was currently experiencing physical weakness and headaches. She had come to see a specialist, suspecting that she had a cardiovascular blockage.
I decided to tell this woman about Falun Dafa. I explained that the Communist Party harms people, whereas Dafa saves them. I pointed out the many side effects associated with vaccines, noting that my husband had suffered from them too but had improved significantly because I frequently shared information about Dafa with him, and that although he didn’t say much, he fully understood that the CCP is harmful. I told her that sincerely reciting the phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” would certainly help her. I also gave her a beautiful Dafa amulet and a USB flash drive containing information about the practice. After hearing the facts, she agreed to quit the Young Pioneers. She was overjoyed and at a loss for words. She said excitedly, “Those three words, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, are wonderful! Just hearing them makes my heart feel bright and open. I can recite those words, and I certainly will.”
The woman, who had looked so worried moments earlier, suddenly beamed with radiance and seemed full of energy. She kept saying, “Thank you, thank you so much.”
I replied, “If you want to thank someone, thank Master Li. Master wanted me to save you, as you are someone with a predestined connection.”
She repeatedly thanked Master, and added, “I’m so lucky today, I will be spared from disaster. I truly have such a wonderful predestined connection.”
Last autumn, Lin and I went to a remote mountain valley to talk with people about Falun Dafa. Scattered farmhouses dotted the slopes and ravines along a narrow concrete road. As we made our way out of the valley, I walked up a slope toward a farmhouse and heard traditional opera playing. Looking up, I saw an elderly man slicing dried hawthorn fruit while listening to an opera. When he saw us approaching, he turned off the small audio player. I called out to greet him, and in our conversation I learned that he was 90 years old and hard of hearing. I respectfully handed him a beautifully packaged set of truth clarifying materials. When he mentioned he was illiterate, I spoke loudly, “Keep these materials in a safe place until your children come home. Show them the contents and ask them to read the information to you. That way, not only will you be saved from great disasters, but your children will also have a bright future.”
The man took the materials with both hands and repeatedly thanked me. I replied, “Don’t thank me, thank Falun Dafa’s founder, Master Li.” When he said he had never joined the Party or its organizations, I said to him, “You should sincerely and respectfully recite the phrases, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and you will be blessed.” I tried teaching him the phrases several times, but he couldn’t quite remember them, so I said loudly, “Then just remember ‘Falun Dafa is good.’ Our Master will look after you.” He beamed with joy and kept saying, “Good, good.”
As I walked out of his home and neared the concrete road, I heard him shouting. I asked Lin, who was walking ahead of me, what the man was saying. Lin replied, “He is shouting ‘Falun Dafa is good’ at the top of his lungs.”
I remarked with deep emotion, “This old man has lived here for 90 years. Perhaps he was waiting for these very words. No! Perhaps he had waited thousands upon thousands of years to hear them!”
We must cherish every moment that our compassionate and great Master has extended for us and for all sentient beings through his immense sacrifices. Let us study the Fa diligently, save people steadfastly, look inward earnestly, and truly cultivate ourselves. Let us ensure that we leave no regrets when Fa-rectification arrives in the human world, and that we do not fall short of all that Master has sacrificed for us. I would like to express my gratitude to the practitioners at the materials production sites for their arduous efforts, and to all practitioners for their righteous cooperation as a whole.
