(Minghui.org) At the Granny Smith Festival in Eastwood, a suburb of Sydney, Australia, on October 17, 2026, many people learned about Falun Gong at a practitioners’ booth. Some Chinese people quit the Communist organizations they had joined, while others said that they followed the news about Falun Gong and the persecution.
Falun Gong practitioners’ Tian Guo Marching Band, waist drum team, celestial maidens, and float were popular sights at the Granny Smith Festival.

People learn about Falun Gong.
Many Chinese people were given introductory flyers about Falun Gong. Some quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) organizations they had joined after they learned about the persecution while others talked about seeing Shen Yun. One man said, “It’s gorgeous and unmatched! It’s truly a world-class show!” A Chinese couple said they read the Epoch Times newspaper every day and followed the news about Falun Gong.
Richard said he had seen practitioners in another parade and asked where he could learn the exercises.
A woman said the persecution of Falun Gong is unacceptable.
After hearing how the CCP persecutes Falun Gong, a woman said that it was terrible to persecute people and kill them for their organs because they meditated and did exercises to improve their health. She said that more people needed to know about this, to step forward and say “no more.”
Rudy, a local resident, says the exercises look relaxing.
