(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Australia held a parade in Melbourne on October 23, 2026. It was one of the events they held during a cultivation experience sharing conference. It has been 30 years since Master Li gave his first lecture in Australia, so practitioners felt the conference and accompanying activities were particularly meaningful.
The parade consisted of three sections: “Falun Dafa Is Good,” “Stop the Persecution,” and “People Are Awakening.” Led by a police escort, the over 100-member Tian Guo Marching Band attracted passersby who stopped and watched as the resounding music filled the air. The parade, which was several hundred meters long, wound its way through the city’s bustling commercial district and Chinatown, and lasted an hour and a half.

Mick, a retiree, was drawn by the parade. He said that the costumes, music, and performance were all great, especially the messages on the banners.
He said that Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance could have a positive impact on human beings. “I think if more people learn and apply these concepts, society will be better, especially young people,” he said.
James is an IT expert from the UK and arrived in Australia one month ago. He was shopping and stopped to watch the parade. He remarked, “The parade is so colorful—truly beautiful. It’s a joy to see so many young people come together, working toward a common goal. The music is also incredibly relaxing, and brings one a deep sense of inner calm.”
James said that Falun Dafa’s principles were great, “Everyone should uphold these values.”
“The Principles Should Be Adopted in Family Education”
Carol, who is a school principal, watched the parade. She felt that Falun Dafa’s principles were beneficial for the children and said, “The values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance are universal. I think these values should be applied in family education and become a part of children’s understanding of this world. This should begin with parents teaching by example. Everyone should have these values. They are a fundamental manifestation of human goodness.”
Carol said she had visited Chinese schools three times. She said, “I know that education in China is very strict. The teachers are subject to close supervision and must follow an established curriculum. It is impossible to teach Falun Dafa in Chinese schools.
“The whole parade is peaceful in good order. The messages on the banners are clear. I think this is a good way to let people learn about the persecution in China.”
The World Should Return to Tradition

Johnny, a local construction project manager, did not know much about Falun Dafa, but the colors, music, and the banners caught his attention. He said, “I was near my workplace across the street when I drove by and saw Falun Dafa practitioners preparing for a parade. I was curious and wondered what was going on.”
After watching the parade, he said it was interesting and that he agreed with the Falun Dafa principles. He was impressed with the banner worded “The sole hope of human beings is to return to tradition.” He said, “With the development of social media and various information channels, it is all the more important for people to return to tradition and reflect on what is truly beneficial to human beings. Society should not focus solely on external matters. It must also place value on an individual’s inner moral character.”
Johnny said he had previously heard of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 27-year persecution and state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting. “Raising public awareness is crucial. It allows people to gain a better understanding of the issue and avoid participating in this persecution out of ignorance,” he said.
Freedom of Belief Is the Foundation of Society

Tourists Jo and Brogan said they were impressed with the banner messages and the parade. Brogan said, “We heard of Falun Dafa before. What impressed us most today is the music, colors, and costumes of the parade, as well as the entire procession—everything is so well-organized.
“This is a wonderful event. We are very glad to have the opportunity to see such a parade. Conveying a message to the public in a peaceful and pleasant manner—helping more people learn the message—is a truly meaningful endeavor,” he said. “This world needs values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.”
Regarding the CCP’s 27-year persecution, Brogan said, “Freedom of belief is the foundation of society. People should not be persecuted for their belief or spiritual practice.”
Australia Should Sanction Those Who Engage in Organ Harvesting
This was the first time Lauren and Chris from Queensland had heard of Falun Dafa. Chris said, “Relaxing via sitting meditation, we indeed need to do that.” Lauren said that Falun Dafa’s principles “are more important than anything in this world.”
“It is important that such parades remain peaceful,” Chris said. “Nowadays many marches accompany violence. This parade is very good. There is no hatred or violence, just peaceful messages.”
Chris said that the CCP’s persecution must stop and that the forced organ harvesting should be condemned. He said, “The whole world must know about this issue! I didn’t know about it before. We should let the whole world know and oppose it. This is an extremely egregious act.”
When he heard that the CCP attempts to extend the persecution to other countries, Chris said, “This is absolutely unacceptable! Australian law should take a very stern stance against such behavior. Australia ought to have laws in place to sanction those who commit such wrongdoing.”
