(Minghui.org) Since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) began to suppress Falun Dafa in 1999, many people in China, including police officers, have been misled by its hate propaganda. As Dafa practitioners, we have the responsibility to tell them what the practice really is so they too can understand the facts.

When the police come to my place, I tell them about Dafa and my experiences. In this way, they learn something new and they may even stop participating in the persecution. Furthermore, they may in turn tell others what they have heard, so that more people can learn the facts.

Moved By Their Kind Words

The CCP planned its usual grand military parade in September 2025, and in the past, the local police often came to my home to harass me. I prepared many news reports from The Epoch Times and NTDTV, as well as Falun Dafa informational materials, and I waited for them. But they didn’t come.

Long after the military parade, two policemen arrived. My entire family was there, and my daughter took out her phone to record them. She said, “The parade is over. Why are you here? Recording my mom again? Fine, then I’ll record you.” They were frightened, and one exclaimed, “Please don’t do this.”

Seeing how unsettled they were, my daughter put down her phone. My family then ignored the police.

Five minutes later, the young policeman asked my daughter again, “Did you record me? If you did, I’m doomed.” My daughter laughed and said, “No, I didn’t. If you don’t trust me, I can put the phone in another room.”

The officer said, “Actually, we didn’t want to come here, but the higher-ups pressured us. So we had no choice.”

I replied, “I know.”

I had my daughter offer them water and fruit. I also told them the stories of “raising the gun muzzle by one centimeter” to stop participating in the persecution and showed them Order No. 50 from the General Administration of Press and Publication that shows it’s not illegal to possess Falun Dafa materials. The officers listened attentively.

When he heard that my salary had been deducted by officials because I practice Falun Dafa, the young policeman told me to attend the county governor’s reception day and report the situation. He encouraged me to get my money back and said, “You can appeal to the higher authorities. As long as you persist, you’ll definitely succeed. Your money will be returned to you.” I was quite surprised that he said this to me.

I went to another practitioner’s place to study the Fa the next day. The practitioner told me that the police went to her home after they left mine. She was on the second floor and, before coming down, heard one officer saying, “Why are those officials making trouble for them? Just give their salaries to them—they didn’t do anything wrong.”

I was quite moved when I heard that, because I could feel their kindness.

Stories at the Local Police Station

This spring, two policemen came to my home again. I was busy cooking, so I called out to my husband to record them. One young policeman grabbed my arm and said, “Auntie, Auntie, you cultivate Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. Practitioners are all good people. Please don’t record me.”

I laughed when I heard him say that. The officer then continued, “Last summer, an older lady was telling people about Falun Dafa outside a school, and some junior high school students reported her. After we took her to the police station, we questioned her. But she wouldn’t say anything, so I wrote ‘silent’ on her form.”

I said, “That’s good, as doing this will not only accumulate merit for yourself but also for your descendants.”

He said, “I heard that in the police station detention center, officials write ‘silent’ in such cases, so I did the same.”

I have a relative who has a good relationship with an officer at the local police station. Later, I heard more about that incident from my relative. At that time, the police at the local police station did not answer the reports or respond to the calls. So those school students called the supervising police department. After the police department called the local police station, officers responded to the call. An officer in charge specifically gave the order not to make things difficult for the elderly practitioner. They detained her for five days and then let her go home.

The officers usually stayed for more than 40 minutes each time they came to my home. Once, I was busy telling the young policeman the facts about Dafa, and didn’t stop until someone called me. I said to the officer, “I still have more things to say to you. How about I write you a letter?” I asked.

He replied, “Sure, the police station isn’t far. Just write it and leave it with the gatekeeper.”

The Police Did Not Record Practitioners’ Information

The two officers came stopped by a few days later after another practitioner was arrested. This time I was home alone, and the young policeman was rather rude. I said, “Why are you here again? Aren’t you afraid I’ll record you and post it online?”

One of them threatened me, “Go ahead and record us. If you post it online, you might get in trouble.”

I was about to respond, but then I realized I had to help save them. In fact, their bad attitude was related to my fear, aggression, and malice. I needed to let go of these attachments.

I changed the subject, saying, “I want to ask you something. The day before yesterday at noon, your station arrested an older lady. Right?”

Before I could explain further, one replied, “Yes, someone reported her and even collected a stack of materials as evidence, so we had to go out on the call. Actually, we usually don’t patrol that area.”

I asked, “You let her go home that night, right?”

He said, “Yes, we no longer have her information.”

He turned to another officer and asked, “No information about her anymore, right?” He meant they didn’t register her.

The other officer replied, “No, we don’t.”

The young policeman said, “Do you know what she was doing? She was distributing materials.”

I replied, “Those materials help people get through disasters. Look at the natural and man-made disasters these days; some people are struggling and dying. That elderly lady was over 70 years old, so old, braving this sweltering heat. She risked her life to tell people how to avoid disasters; she was helping save people, and she is remarkable.”

“You did a good thing releasing her that very day, and you will be blessed,” I continued.

“I don’t have that much power,” he replied.

I continued, “The police station released her. So everyone there did a great deed.”

Then he added, “I don’t know why, but other police officers said they get a headache just thinking about going to Falun Dafa practitioners’ homes, especially Min’s.” I know that Min’s husband understands the law, and they know it’s illegal for the police to harass people without any official proof or reason. They’re in the wrong, so of course they would feel bad. Min’s husband doesn’t practice Falun Dafa, but he doesn’t tolerate this harassment. He often recorded the police and reported it directly. Once police officers are reported, they’re in trouble.

During the police officers’ visits, I repeatedly explained to them the principle: “good is rewarded, but bad deeds are punished.” I told them that I’m currently suffering economic persecution, and the person who stopped my salary said he would be fully responsible. But he hanged himself before he retired. A leader in the Education Bureau in charge of this matter knew I was innocent but refused to help; as a result, he had a stroke and is in a vegetative state—he was only 46 years old. The vice principal in the school who directly supervised me forced me to sign documents to renounce my faith. He is now suspended and is being investigated. I explained that this is all related to karmic retribution.

Blocking the Persecution at the Grassroots Level

In the past, I spoke harshly to the police who came to my door, but I gradually realized that they came to hear the truth. Coupled with their two recent acts of kindness in releasing Falun Dafa practitioners, I finally saw the true nature of the matter—these two young policemen came to my home to hear the truth—this laid the groundwork for them to protect Falun Dafa practitioners in the future.

They learned that Falun Dafa practitioners are kindhearted, and that this persecution is harming innocent people. They were unwilling to harm innocent people, so, out of conscience, they chose to silently protect Falun Dafa practitioners. Explaining the truth to them takes time, patience, and wisdom. It also took me a long time to suppress my bad notions. I still have some left, and I am trying my best to overcome those notions.

Although it’s illegal for the police to come to our homes to harass us, there are two sides to everything. We can’t stop them from coming, but on the other hand, isn’t that bringing them to us so they can hear the truth? We usually can’t find them, but now they’re coming to our door. When they understand the true situation, they will in turn explain the facts to more people. What a great opportunity!

I think we practitioners should not focus on what the police say or their attitude; their true feelings are the key. Fellow practitioners, please stop refusing to see the police. Explain things clearly to them, and we will directly stop the persecution at the grassroots level. When they understand the truth, they will treat Dafa practitioners kindly, and choose a good future—how wonderful is that?

From the initial arrests and sentencing, to the later five-day detentions, and now to same-day releases, we can see the changes over time in this persecution. When more and more police officers across China change and have a positive attitude towards Falun Dafa practitioners, we will see a new situation.

These are my humble understandings. If anything is inconsistent with Dafa’s teachings, please kindly point it out.

Thank you, Master! Thank you, fellow practitioner!
