(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Shulan Arrested
2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Meizhen and Hu Arrested
3. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Huanqin Arrested
4. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Suyuan Detained
5. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Shuqin Detained
7. [Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Xiaoyan Arrested
8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiulan and Mr. Zhang Shaohui Arrested

1. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Chen Shulan Arrested

Ms. Chen Shulan was arrested at home on October 9, 2026, by officers from the Xunyang District Police Department. The police haven’t informed Ms. Chen’s family of her whereabouts.

2. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Dong Meizhen and Hu Arrested

Ms. Dong Meizhen, in her 80s, and Hu, around 70 and first name unknown, were arrested by officers from the Shangzhuang Police Station on October 7, 2026, while distributing Falun Gong informational materials.

3. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Li Huanqin Arrested

Ms. Li Huanqin was arrested in early October 2026 and has been held in custody since.

4. [Suizhong County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ma Suyuan Detained

Ms. Ma Suyuan was arrested on October 9, 2026, and has since been placed under criminal detention.

5. [Wei County, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed

Ms. Yang Fengying and Ms. Feng Zhen were harassed at their respective homes on September 18, 2026, by officers from the Chewang Town Police Station. The police videotaped the practitioners against their will and confiscated photos of the founder of Falun Gong.

Mr. Wang Yunzhong and Wang Fengchao, gender unknown, were also harassed in September 2026 at their respective homes by officers from the Bokou Township Police Station. The police also videotaped the practitioners without their permission.

6. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Bian Shuqin Detained

Ms. Bian Shuqin was arrested on October 7, 2026. She was taken to the Qinhuangdao City Lockup for five days.

7. [Zhongxiang City, Hubei Province] Ms. Lu Xiaoyan Arrested

Ms. Lu Xiaoyan, 74, was arrested by plainclothes officers on the morning of July 21, 2026, and taken to the Yingzhong Town Police Station, also known as the Zhongzhen Police Station among locals. Her home was raided, and all of her Falun Gong books, a computer, USB drives, memory cards, and portable music players were confiscated. At the police station, Ms. Lu was handcuffed to a metal chair and interrogated. She was not released until 8 p.m. She has since recovered her computer.

8. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Xiao Zuozhi and Ms. Yao Shumei were arrested by more than 20 plainclothes officers from the Fengnan District Domestic Security Division on September 19, 2026. The two practitioners were released that evening as they were deemed unfit for detention.

Ms. Xiao Lixia and Xi, last name unknown, were arrested on September 20, 2026. Xi was released later that day, while Ms. Xiao was detained for 10 days.

9. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Xiulan and Mr. Zhang Shaohui Arrested

Ms. Zhang Xiulan, in her 60s, and Mr. Zhang Shaohui, in his 50s, were arrested on September 8 and 9, 2026, respectively. Both have been released from detention.
