(Minghui.org) I’m 64 and I’ve lived in a county town for over 40 years. I was born and raised deep in the mountains. As far back as I can remember, my mother often said she had five children even though the first three passed away when they were just over a year old, and only my younger brother and I survived.

My mother told me that when she was pregnant with me, her sister-in-law pushed her down a flight of stairs, but she didn’t miscarry. I realized that Master was already looking after me. After I was born, my mother had no breast milk, so I was raised on milk from various neighbors. My aunt, in particular, contributed the most. As I grew up, my mother often reminded me to always remember how kind my aunt was.

Because I had convulsions whenever I had a fever, my mother cherished me dearly. She was terrified that I might die just like her three previous children had. As I grew older, I frequently heard my sister-in-law hurling abuse at our entire family. She would shout for hours, often throwing things and lashing out physically. Our hearts were filled with a sense of stifling oppression, resentment, and helplessness.

My heart was heavy, and I often went deep into the mountains to farm. As I gazed at the mountains, my mind would gradually grow calm, and I thought, “How wonderful it would be to live here.” Looking at the caves and grottoes at the foot of the mountains, I thought, “People say immortals live in these mountains—if only I could meet one.” Yet, no matter how much I wished or prayed for this, the image that appeared before me was always that of a young man dressed in contemporary clothes.

In my 30s, I felt a deep reluctance to continue drifting aimlessly among ordinary people, yet I lacked the self-discipline to change my ways. From the bottom of my heart, I longed for an immortal to guide me. I sometimes saw a man (always the same young man) with dark hair in a Western-style suit. I later learned that this was indeed my master, Master Li Hongzhi.

When I was old enough to join the Communist Party’s Youth League, my father adamantly forbade it, but I refused to listen. I later wanted to join the Communist Party, but because there was no quota, I was turned down. It seems Master had begun to look after and protect me from a very early age.

I was born in the 1960s, and when I was in elementary school, I wondered why, if we are all Chinese, the Kuomintang and the Communist Party were locked in such a life-and-death struggle. By the time I reached junior high school, Huang Shuai—a primary school student who had verbally abused her teacher—was being hailed as a “hero who dared to go against the tide,” while Zhang Tiesheng, who handed in a blank exam paper, was held up as our “role model.” These things simply bewildered me.

Finding Purpose in Life

I began to practice Falun Dafa in 2006. Master said:

“Here we have a wonderful practice to offer, and we have made it available to all, virtually handing it to you, right at your door.” (The Eighth Talk, Zhuan Falun)

Indeed, Master delivered Dafa into my hands.

I first read Zhuan Falun Volume II and Essentials for Further Advancement. When I opened the book, the first thing that caught my eye was a photograph of Master with dark hair and dressed in a suit. I understood then that my dream had come true, that I had finally found the Master I had been searching for all along.

I obtained this Dafa, a teaching encountered perhaps only once in an eternity. All the mysteries of the human world, which were not explained throughout history, have been revealed. I feel like a child who finally found her way home; I have a destination, and I am no longer alone. My life now has a guiding beacon, and I no longer drift aimlessly. I am truly fortunate.

After I began practicing, Master cleansed my body. My serious gynecological conditions vanished, as did the recurring bouts of gastroenteritis that used to plague me every summer—often requiring multiple rounds of injections and intravenous treatments. Every physical ailment disappeared. My complexion became radiant and youthful with a healthy, rosy glow that others could clearly see.

In the 20 years since I began to practice, I have not spent a single cent on medical expenses. I no longer scramble to get ahead of others. Instead, I learned to look inward to find my shortcomings. My daughter once remarked, “Mom, if you had been this wonderful back then, you and Dad might not have divorced.” I also let go of the resentment I once had for my sister-in-law.

Going Out to Tell People About Dafa

Over the past 20 years, I’ve read one lecture of Zhuan Falun every day. I’ve memorized it sentence by sentence and paragraph by paragraph and then neatly copy it onto blank paper. To date, I have transcribed the book three times and learned it by heart four times. I’ve also read Master’s other lectures five times.

We know that the people in this world are all waiting to be saved. Master said:

“Dafa disciples, speak the truth,From your mouths, sharp swords all at once shoot forth.Piercing through the lies of rotten ghosts,Seize the moment to rescue and save—hurry up and speak”(“Hurry Up and Speak,” Hong Yin II)

In 2007, my illegal detention in a forced labor camp came to an end, and I regained my freedom and returned home. Since then, I have consistently engaged in face-to-face truth-clarification—distributing materials, amulets, and USB drives with content about the practice. Whether I was away for work, visiting friends and relatives, or even during the pandemic, I never stopped. Throughout the six years I spent working away from home, I still did the three things.

As more people in my county came to understand the truth, I began traveling elsewhere to talk to people. Sometimes I would go with fellow practitioners, but I usually went alone. We frequently visited high-traffic areas, such as bus stations, hospitals, supermarkets, parks, and rural fairs—especially large, open-air markets. I also went to neighboring cities and suburban areas.

During the hottest times of the year, we would bring two bottles of water with us. We would spend half a day or an entire day out, sometimes taking several buses or walking long distances. Whoever we encountered, we reminded ourselves to maintain a calm, balanced state of mind, overcome any sense of trepidation, and tell people the truth about the persecution. Whether or not they choose to accept it is entirely up to them. Even when faced with cold or harsh remarks, we strove to remain calm.

I discovered that the most significant misunderstanding people have concerns the Tiananmen Square self-immolation incident, so addressing this is essential. Other topics—such as the state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting, the hidden-character stone in Guizhou, and the fact that over 400 million people died during the pandemic—are never reported by the CCP controlled media. Depending on the situation, I elaborate on these points and encourage people to remember “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

When I clarified the truth in the past, I would ask, “Have you heard about quitting the CCP to avert disaster?” Since the pandemic, I have found it more natural to ask people about their educational background or whether they joined the Party, the Youth League, or the Young Pioneers. When offering materials, I also take a person’s level of education into account. For those with more formal schooling, I give them the informational booklets, and for those with less education, I offer illustrated brochures or amulets.

Touched by People’s Response

When I am clarifying the truth, how people respond often moves me deeply.

On one occasion, an elderly woman who understood the truth was so overcome with emotion she hugged me four or five times in a crowded marketplace. I told her, “You should thank Falun Dafa’s Master Li. It is he who has saved you.”

Another time, just at dusk, I had already distributed all the materials and amulets I had brought with me. A woman—who addressed me as “Auntie”—listened to the truth, understood it, and then eagerly asked for some materials, saying she would be happy to take anything I gave her.

Another practitioner and I once saw a couple enter a shop. The wife went upstairs, while the husband sat on a bench to wait. I said, “Look, he’s waiting for us! Go and tell him about Dafa!” The man accepted our materials.

Yet another time, a practitioner shared the truth with an 80-year-old woman and gave her something to eat. The kind-hearted woman insisted that we come to her home for a meal. Such responses allow us to truly feel the goodwill and gratitude of the people we encounter.

Encountering Those Who Refuse to Accept the Facts

In the process of clarifying the truth, we occasionally encounter people who are unwilling to listen.

One time, I spoke to a woman about my age and had barely uttered two or three sentences when she suddenly turned hostile, spat at me, and walked away while hurling insults.

Another practitioner and I saw a man in his 40s playing with a child near a motorcycle. I asked him, “Taking the child out for some fun?” He replied, “I’m waiting for someone; my family has gone on ahead.” Seeing that he was open to conversation, I began to tell him the facts about Dafa. Then he said, “Stop talking—if you keep going, you’ll find out what I do for a living.” He repeated this twice, and I realized he was an undercover officer.

On another occasion, we met a man in his 40s who was out for a walk with his mother. The son was very kind-hearted and understood what I was saying immediately. When I tried to offer him some materials and an amulet, however, his mother reached out to stop me, adamantly refusing to let him take them. I sent righteous thoughts, and in the end, I was able to hand the materials and the amulet to him.

Clarifying the Truth With an 87-Year Old Practitioner

In 2026, Master arranged for an 87-year-old practitioner to help me clarify the truth. We lived quite far apart—she in the city and I in the county. For safety reasons, we don’t communicate by phone. Instead, we agreed on a time and place to meet in advance.

She was always punctual and arrived on time regardless of how cold the weather was. She was incredibly resilient and proactive in saving people and never hesitated, no matter the day or the distance we had to travel.

Before heading out, I would try to read one lecture in Zhuan Falun. In a single afternoon, we could typically persuade 17 or 18 people—sometimes even 20—to quit the CCP. On days when I hadn’t kept up with my Fa-study or I wasn’t in the best cultivation state, we might only reach seven to a dozen people.

She loved listening to the experience-sharing articles on Minghui radio, so I provided her with the new content I downloaded each week. She had no concept of being old and possessed a very pure, childlike heart. Her diligence often served to encourage me and kept me moving forward.

The above is my sharing. Thank you, Master! Thank you, fellow practitioners!
